About Yun Noodle and Dumplings
Yun Noodle and Dumplings, located at 4001 S Decatur Blvd Unit 35 in Las Vegas, is a Chinese restaurant specializing in handmade noodles and dumplings. Customers have praised the authenticity of their offerings, with one reviewer noting the Lanzhou beef noodle soup and other dishes as being comparable to those found in Lanzhou itself.
The restaurant features several standout dishes according to customer reviews. The lamb skewers are highly recommended, even by those who typically dislike lamb due to its gamey taste, with reviewers noting the tenderness and perfect seasoning of the meat. The crab and pork xiaolong bao is another highlight, although one reviewer found the regular xiaolong bao to be just okay and could have been soupier.
The Lanzhou beef noodle soup is a significant draw, appreciated for its authentic flavor. Additionally, the combination appetizer of cucumber, kimchi, and potato salad has been described as a delightful start to the meal, with each component having a unique and pleasing taste, particularly the unexpectedly delicious potato salad preparation. The crispy chicken, resembling popcorn chicken, is noted for being crispy on the outside and tender inside with perfect seasoning.
The restaurant offers two kinds of noodles that have received high praise for both taste and texture: their house combination noodles and the oil spilled noodles, both described as very flavorful. Another popular item is the scallion pancake with beef roll, which offers a nice crunch on the outside and tender beef slices inside.
The prices at Yun Noodle and Dumplings are considered very reasonable, with one group of six adults and three kids having lunch for $135 before tax and tip. The environment of the restaurant is described as very clean with a bright and modern look, and the service is noted to be friendly.
In summary, Yun Noodle and Dumplings offers a great selection of authentic handmade noodles and dumplings, with the Lanzhou beef noodle soup, lamb skewers, and unique appetizers receiving high praise. Excellent handmade noodles and dumplings! I’ve been to Lanzhou and these are definitely authentic. Lamb skewers, crab and pork xiaolong bao, and Lanzhou beef noodle soup were real standouts. Prices are very reasonable. We went for lunch—6 adults and 3 kids was $135 before tax and tip.
We came here for lunch with a group of friends to try different dishes and we were not disappointed. The combination appetizer of cucumber, kimchi and potato salad was a delight! Each of the components had its own unique taste in a very good way. I wouldn't have guessed that the potato could be prepared that way. The crispy chicken looked just like popcorn chicken, crispy on the outside and tender inside seasoned perfectly. We ordered 2 kinds of noodles, their house combination and the oil spilled noodles which were both very flavorful. I should say that their noodles were excellent in taste and texture. I don't even like lamb because of the gamey taste but their lamb skewers were very good! The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. The Xiao long bao just ok for me and could have been better had they been soupier. Finally, the scallion pancake with beef roll was very good too with a nice crunch on the outside and tender beef slices inside. The place was very clean with a bright and modern look. Service was friendly.
This was a surprising good meal. Best for bigger groups so you can share and try more things. We got the lamb big plate with dry noodles. The lamb was perfectly braised, juicy and tender. The noodles were bouncy. Sauce was deliciously savory. It's very mild in spicy so if you want spicy, add some chili sauce. The steamed chicken with chili sauce was OK. We loved the sauce and the cucumbers but the chicken was a bit on the overcooked side. The cucumbers were delicious so we might get that next time we're here. The crab and pork xlb tasted great but the skin was a bit too thick for our liking. Overall, we'll definitely recommend this to our friends and family. Will return to try other noodle dishes, appetizers, cold dishes and the skewers. I'd skip the XLB.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations. The beef in both the chow mein and fried rice was cooked perfectly. It was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. The noodles were excellent. I enjoyed my “oil spill” noodles so much that even when I was beyond full, I wondered if I could take just one more bite. We also got the soup dumplings and thought they were great. Ultimately we had a lot of leftovers and we took them all with us to have as a midnight snack for later at our hotel. This was the best Chinese food I’ve ever had.
My friend and I went here after watching MIkey’s (YT Strictly Dumpling) video from a week ago. Honestly, the Lanzhou noodle soup was only OK. Mikey did say that it had a mild flavor. And yea it was that, mild, almost delicate broth, but I prefer punchier savory broths like the beef noodle soup at Noodlehead for example. Noodles themselves were good, and there was a lot of it. The beef itself was nothing special. The $20 bowl ended up becoming two meals for me, plus I still have a mug of the broth for sipping later. I’d give the Lanzhou noodle soup a 7/10. Other dishes we ordered was the Mapo Tofu (8/10), pan fried dumplings (7/10), xiao long bao (8/10) and scallion pancakes with beef (6/10). All in all a solid restaurant, clean, well-lit, attentive staff, plenty of parking, and we had no problem being seated at 7PM on a Sunday night. However if I’m going out to get my beef noodle fix, Noodlehead is still top of my list in Vegas.
