Yummy Wok

This place has authentic food. We know.. we've lived in Asia for many years ! We tried the Singapore noodles, spicy 😋. The pork finally had the beef. All very well cooked. We enjoyed well priced food that is cooked well. Furthermore, it's nice to support a family business!

Absolutely terrible customer service. The lady working there is beyond rude, and the guy just follows whatever she says like he’s scared of her. My daughter called in our order and accidentally said no vegetables, but quickly clarified just no peas and carrots.The lady said okay. When I picked up the food and verified my order as I always do, she immediately got an attitude instead of just fixing the mistake. Instead of remaking the rice properly, she just tossed onions on top of the side that was visual . When I called back to explain what was happening and I wasn’t happy with me order, I could hear her yelling loudly in the background, which just proved she didn’t care about getting the order right—just about being right. At that point, I didn’t trust them to remake my food and just wanted my money back. The guy told me to bring the food back the next day for a refund. Seriously? It was already late and was annoyed by her mistake. This place is overpriced and clearly doesn’t care about their customers. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their money here.

The Crab Rangoon is definitely frozen and microwaved. The wonton wrapper was chewy not crunchy. That is why I believe it was cooked in the microwave. The the sesame seed tofu was good but not great. Lacked a lot of flavor throughout all the dishes.

The restaurant is tucked away on a side street in Norfolk’s historic Ghent area. Stopped in based on a recommendation from a coworker and ordered the sesame chicken combo. It was pretty flavorful and fresh tasting, but the dish did not stand out from all of the other restaurants of the same cuisine. The price was right and the staff friendly. A special thanks though for being open Christmas Eve night and showing the love to my crew and I who had no choice of being off tonight.

We ordered for takeout on Christmas Eve. They were completely slammed but holy crap... This was the best Chinese food I've had in years. We ate with about four other people and everyone agreed, whatever they ordered was the best they've had.
