About Yummy Sushi

Yummy Sushi, located at 2350 NJ-33, Robbinsville Twp, NJ 08691, is a Chinese restaurant that has garnered positive attention for its fresh, high-quality sushi and excellent Asian takeout options. While the dine-in experience is described as just okay by some, the exceptional food makes it a worthwhile choice, particularly for takeout.

A standout feature of Yummy Sushi is the quality and freshness of their sushi. The salmon avocado roll and spicy tuna roll are highly recommended, with customers praising the fresh fish and perfectly textured rice, delivering clean and delicious flavors. For those seeking classic Chinese dishes, the General Tso’s chicken and shrimp are described as phenomenal, featuring crispy chicken, perfectly cooked shrimp, and a well-balanced sweet and spicy sauce.

The restaurant boasts a beautifully decorated interior, characterized by a lovely square ceiling chandelier, nice paintings, and a classy red interior complemented by gauze cream curtains. Traditional Asian decorations can also be found near the kitchen area. The ambiance is versatile, accommodating both more formal occasions like business dinners or dates, as well as casual hangouts with friends. Despite not being overly visible from the outside, giving it a hidden gem feel, Yummy Sushi can get busy, especially around Lunar New Year.

While one review noted that the dine-in service is fine but not particularly attentive, another praised the wonderful service, with a knowledgeable waitress able to answer detailed questions about the menu. This suggests that service quality might vary depending on the dining experience (dine-in vs. takeout) and potentially the server.

Yummy Sushi also appears to be popular for its bubble tea, particularly the milk mango flavor, which is served in an appealing glass jug. The menu offers a wide selection, including a huge variety of special sushi rolls alongside more traditional options, as well as other sushi and sashimi choices and traditional Chinese dishes, ensuring a diverse range of culinary delights.

Customer reviews highlight the freshness of ingredients, the appealing presentation (such as a heart-shaped salmon mango tartare appetizer), and unique dishes like the Rt33 special roll (fried soft shell crab, soybean paper, seaweed salad) and the Hawaiian special roll (king crab, avocado, mango salad, fried on the outside). The tempura ice cream dessert is also noted as a large and perfectly executed treat.

Overall, Yummy Sushi is recommended for those seeking high-quality sushi and solid Asian dishes, especially for takeout. The dine-in environment is pleasant, though some find the service more geared towards takeout. Customers generally feel that the food offers good value for money and express intentions to return.

If you’re looking for fresh, high-quality sushi and amazing Asian takeout in Robbinsville, Yummy Sushi is the place to go. I’ve eaten here a few times, and while the dine-in experience is just okay, the food itself makes it absolutely worth it—especially for takeout. The General Tso’s chicken and shrimp? Phenomenal. The chicken is crispy, the shrimp is perfectly cooked, and the sauce has that perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It’s one of the best I’ve had in the area. Now, if you’re a sushi lover, the salmon avocado roll and spicy tuna roll are on another level. The fish is super fresh, the rice is just the right texture, and you can really taste the quality. No bland or mushy sushi here—just clean, delicious flavors. Service-wise, it’s fine, but nothing special. If you’re eating in, don’t expect overly attentive service. It’s not bad, but it’s clear that takeout is their strong suit. Honestly, I’d recommend grabbing your order to go and enjoying it at home. All in all, Yummy Sushi is a hidden gem for takeout. If you want great sushi and solid Asian dishes without the fuss of dining in, this is the spot.

This restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a lovely and unique square ceiling chandelier, nice paintings, and a classy red interior with gauze cream curtains. There are some traditional Asian decorations by the kitchen area. While the decor lends itself well to more formal meals, such as business dinners or dates or dinner with your partner's parents (as the table next to us was doing), you would not feel out of place at all coming here for a casual hangout with friends. I feel it's rather rare and requires a delicate balance to be able to encompass such a large range of possible atmospheres. The fact that Yummy Sushi is not too visible from the outside does give a bit of a hole-in-the-wall feel, like you've found this nice secret spot. It does get very busy around Lunar New Year, though. When we went, it was fairly empty despite it being dinner hour on a Sunday, which surprised me because the food is delicious and the service is wonderful. From what I hear, though, the place is popular in the afternoons after school for bubble tea, and I can see why. The milk mango bubble tea I had was delicious, and came in a nice glass jug. Personally, I always like when drinks come in glass instead of plastic. For the food: We had a salmon mango tartare for the appetizer. The food came in a heart shape, which was so cute! You can tell all the ingredients are incredibly fresh. For the main, I had the Rt33 special roll with the modification of no jalapeño. The roll is made of fried soft shell crab, soybean paper, and seaweed salad. I was impressed that when I asked what the wrapping was (which was the soybean paper), our waitress was able to answer our question on sight. Some restaurants I've been to, the servers really just bring the food from the kitchen and aren't able to answer questions about the food, but it was clear here that the waitress was very knowledgeable. My dining companion had a Hawaiian special roll, which contains king crab and avocado with mango salad on top. Uniquely, the roll is fried on the outside, which is very interesting and gave a nice crunch. Personally, I preferred my Rt33 roll, but my dining companion really enjoyed their roll, so there's something for everyone. There's a huge selection of special rolls as well as more typical rolls, as well as other sushi/sashimi options and traditional Chinese dishes, so lots of great options. I'm really looking forward to trying the other appetizers and special rolls on future visits. For dessert, we had a tempura ice cream, which is always a treat. The portion is quite large and done perfectly - the vanilla bean ice cream (it's the high-end kind of vanilla ice cream, not your typical vanillin-flavored ice cream) is still cold but the tempura fried outside is just warm, with a bit of chocolate sauce drizzled on top. I like that we were never left waiting for anything. Our water was filled regularly and while the table we were at was perhaps a tad small for us with all our dishes, it wasn't too bad. I do feel the food is good value for money. For us two, the bill came out to $55, and goodness knows I've had far too many meals in a similar price range which weren't even close to as good. Overall, our experience here was absolutely wonderful, and I'm really looking forward to coming back again!

This place was nice! The food came out very quickly. The vegetable rolls were great, and the sesame tofu was delicious. The staff was very friendly. I would love to see a veggie sushi roll combo added to the menu.

On the road heading back to NYC from Virginia on a Sunday, stuck in traffic in Baltimore for quite a bit and hit that window where we need to grab food or else we don't eat until midnight. Found Yummy Sushi on Google maps, only was 11 mins from I95. Called to make sure they were still open and had seating. Arrived at 8pm, and got a spot right in front. Very clean place, staff looked a bit tired so there was probably a dinner rush that we beat. Ordered The Love Boat, Shrimp Tempura and a General Tsos Chicken. Everything was very good. Would recommend if passing through and need a bite.

Amazing service with quick-moving artists who create masterpieces. The place feels like home and the waiter is so kind and attentive. It's the freshest sushi we've had in a 30-mile radius and even if you order on DoorDash or any other outlets, please be kind and give them time. They are amazing.
