Yummy House is great overall - good food, excellent service, calm atmosphere. We came in for dim sum and tried out some of the dishes. The oil was a bit old on the fried taro, but we did come at the last hour before they closed for lunch. The fried turnip and BBQ pork rice rolls were great. The beef chow fun was our favorite. Overall definitely a recommended spot for a more classy dim sum and Cantonese food experience!

Beautiful. No notes. It’s no frills, straight to the point dim sum which - as a Chinese person - is all I really need. The food is flavorful, and it is clearly steamed to order so every dish we got was fresh and hot. They have pretty much all the staples of a dim sum place, but even less popular dishes like chicken feet have great flavor and texture. My family and I love this place!!

The food was average. I only ordered three dim sum items, so there might be options there. I feel like one of the dim sum I ordered wasn't really done with traditional ingredient for its favor so it would be 3 out of 5 for taste but 2 out of 5 for its authenticity of being "Chinese dim sum". Service wise, it was awesome. Food came out fast and hot, and the waiter was friendly and checked on me multiple times, which might not be the case if you eat at a restaurant in Hong Kong! 🤣 It served my need of having something quick at somewhere clean and safe, but if you want something that's truly Chinese, try somewhere else. 👍

This unassuming restaurant, tucked just off the main road, is a hidden gem. I wouldn't have discovered it if not for a quick Google search. While the menu is extensive, I was craving half a roast duck. Though not listed, the waiter confirmed they offered it for $25. I also decided to try the crab and fish maw soup. Fish maw (swim bladder) was a new experience for me. The enormous bowl that arrived could easily serve four. I asked for condiment recommendations and was told red vinegar and hot chili sauce are customary. These additions elevated the already delicious soup to another level; I nearly devoured the entire thing! If you love savory soups, I can't recommend this highly enough. The roast duck was equally impressive – moist and flavorful, unlike the dry versions I've encountered elsewhere. I've eaten my share of roast duck, and this one ranks among the best. The predominantly Asian waitstaff suggests the owners and chef are likely of Asian descent, which is a good indicator of authentic Chinese cuisine – a far cry from Panda Express. The total cost was $20 for the soup, $25 for the duck, and $2.95 for hot tea. The meal was incredibly filling and satisfying. I will definitely be back, and if you're seeking an authentic Chinese food experience, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I was immediately captivated by the art on the outside of the building, which gives it a unique charm. The vibe inside is all about family and friends—it has a welcoming, communal atmosphere. Every table is equipped with a spinning disk at the center, perfect for sharing food family-style. Unfortunately, since we got our food to-go, we didn’t get to experience this, but I can imagine it would make for a fun dining experience. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed while ordering and waiting. For my meal, I chose the Yang Chow fried rice and egg rolls. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short in terms of flavor. The egg rolls were very small, resembling more of a spring roll, though they were fresh and crispy. Personally, I wouldn’t order them again, but if you’re a fan of spring rolls, you might enjoy them—just be sure to ask for extra dipping sauce to boost the flavor. The Yang Chow fried rice was fresh, served hot, and had shrimp and BBQ pork, which I thought were great additions. However, the rice still needed more flavor overall. I ended up adding chili oil and soy sauce, which really elevated the dish, bringing it close to perfection. But if you’re not into spicy food, this might not be for you. I’d definitely order the rice again, but I’d hope they improve the seasoning so I wouldn’t have to add sauce myself. In the end, while I truly loved the ambiance and atmosphere, a lot of the food could benefit from a little more seasoning to match the beautiful surroundings. With just a bit more flavor, this place could easily be a go-to spot for family-style dining.
