About Yummy House

Yummy House is a Chinese restaurant located at 3530 GA-20 in Conyers, Georgia, USA. As a local Chinese restaurant, Yummy House offers takeout services and can be contacted at (770) 679-9444 or +1 770-679-9444. While it is not explicitly stated, it may also offer delivery services.

Based on recent customer reviews, Yummy House is considered by some to be one of the better Chinese options in the surrounding area, even for those residing in nearby Lithonia. However, some inconsistencies in food quality have been noted. One reviewer mentioned that the food was a "little bland" and the crab rangoon lacked sufficient filling, although they still found it to be good. They also experienced a long wait time for a walk-in order on a Friday night, suggesting it can get quite busy. The fried rice was described as seemingly under-fried, but the egg rolls were highly praised for being very fresh and flavorful. This reviewer strongly recommends calling ahead or ordering online due to the restaurant's apparent high volume of orders, a sentiment echoed by some regulars.

Another first-time customer specifically enjoyed the wonton soup, describing the broth as flavorful and the wonton dumplings as plump and tasty. Their experience with the crab rangoons was less positive, noting that some had no filling and were dried out. This customer also expressed hesitation about trying the fried rice due to the use of yellow rice, which is not their preference. They also commented on the atmosphere of the restaurant being "pretty dark and eerie," suggesting that an update could potentially attract more customers.

In summary, Yummy House in Conyers appears to be a popular Chinese restaurant, especially for takeout. While some dishes like the wonton soup and egg rolls receive high praise, there have been mentions of blandness in other dishes and inconsistencies in the filling of the crab rangoons. The restaurant tends to be busy, particularly on weekend evenings, so calling ahead or ordering online is highly recommended. The ambiance of the restaurant might be a point of consideration for some customers.

One of the better Chinese places around and we live in Lithonia. The food was a little bland and the crab Rangoon did not have much filling but it was still good. The wait was LONG for walkin, however, I’m not sure if it just took a bit longer to make ours because of the crab Rangoon or what because we only had lo mein and general tsos otherwise. The fried rice seemed fried for two seconds but I’m gonna chalk it up to how busy they were. The egg rolls however were VERY fresh and flavorful. HIGHLY suggest call ahead or order online. They seem to be overwhelmed themselves, it was Friday night, so I would think I would expect it to be busy. However, some of their regulars even mentioned how busy it was so just order online or call ahead.

This was my first time trying yummy house since moving out towards Conyers. Wonton soup is one of my favorite dishes severed at any Chinese restaurant so that was my main item I wanted to try and it did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful and the wonton dumplings were really plump and tasty. I also tried the Crab Rangoons and they were ok. Some had no filling and was pretty dried out. I’m a little nervous about trying the fried rice because I’m not a fan of yellow rice being used for fried rice but will update my review when I decide to try something new. The atmosphere is also pretty dark and eerie so they could update that to attract more customers.

I ordered the Mongolian beef and chicken. It should be named Mongolian onion. There was WAY more onion than beef and chicken. The biggest issue I had was the explanation she gave. She said, "It's supposed to be that way." 🤨 I'm okay with onions, but if it's not more MEAT than onion, it should at least be an even amount. The onions over saturated the meal.

I normally go to them because I discovered they were closer to me than other establishments. On 11.27.24 I went in there in the afternoon after 5. It was busy, I ordered and waited. After some time I went back to get the order. When asked my order, I mentioned the food and she looked at me funny. She gave me some other food and I said that is not mine, then said what I ordered. Her mother came and the young lady seemed to have an attitude. I sat back down and waited quietly after she got my order wrong and quietly observed if they would at least acknowledge the overcharge since the wrong order cost more. When the correct food came she just handed it to me, no apologies, no refund, even if under a dollar, and no extra food. I am NOT pleased with this type of attitude. Not even an, we over charged you sir for the wrong order so here is this or that. I am big on customer service and will spend my money elsewhere...

Food was great. We had braised wings with vegetable fried rice, general tso's chicken with vegetable fried rice, and crab Rangoon....everything tasted pretty good. Customer service was polite. Food done in a timely manner. Thank you. The only thing I would recommend is a little more sauce on the meat, but there was a decent amount so we aren't complaining/upset about it. This was our second visit, and we'll be ordering again.
