About Yummy House

Yummy House is a Chinese restaurant located at 150 Butler Ave #4575 in Midway, Georgia, serving the local community with a menu of Asian cuisine. As a "Chinese Restaurant," Yummy House aims to provide a range of dishes that are characteristic of Chinese culinary traditions, catering to the tastes of residents and visitors in the Midway area. Whether customers are looking for a quick takeout meal or a place to dine in, Yummy House offers an option for those craving Chinese flavors.

The available customer reviews present a somewhat polarized view of the dining experience at Yummy House. One reviewer expressed extreme satisfaction, proclaiming it "prob the best Chinese food Ive had." They specifically praised the freshness and temperature of the food, highlighting their "chicken with cashews" which they described as having caramelized chicken in a "dark brown savory sauce." They also lauded the appearance of the "pork fried rice," noting its similar appealing look. This overwhelmingly positive feedback suggests that when Yummy House gets it right, the food can be exceptionally well-received.

However, another reviewer had a significantly less favorable experience. They noted that the "woman at the counter" was "not so friendly," indicating a potential issue with customer service. Regarding the food, this reviewer's experience was also disappointing. They specifically asked for "fried non-breaded general tso tofu" but received steamed tofu instead, which they rated negatively. Their "shrimp fried rice" was deemed only "okay." This reviewer also provided context by mentioning that Midway is a small town with limited Asian dining options, suggesting that locals might have fewer alternatives for comparison. A particularly strong negative point was the reviewer's statement that they had never thrown away Asian food before but did so with their order from Yummy House. Additionally, they commented that the spring rolls appeared and tasted like frozen, store-bought ones rather than homemade.

Considering these two reviews, Yummy House seems to have the potential to deliver very high-quality, fresh, and flavorful dishes, as evidenced by the glowing review of the chicken with cashews and pork fried rice. However, there are also significant concerns raised regarding customer service, order accuracy (receiving steamed tofu when fried was requested), the quality of certain dishes like the shrimp fried rice, and the apparent use of non-homemade spring rolls. The context of limited local competition might influence local perceptions, but the direct feedback suggests inconsistencies in both food quality and service.

Information regarding the environment of Yummy House is not explicitly provided in these reviews. Aspects such as the restaurant's decor, cleanliness, and overall ambiance are not mentioned. Potential local users might need to visit the location or seek additional information online (if available) to form an opinion about the dining environment.

Similarly, the reviews offer limited information about the services provided by Yummy House. The act of ordering at a counter and receiving food implies that takeout service is available. The positive reviewer's description of the food being "super hot n fresh" suggests it was likely consumed shortly after preparation, possibly as takeout or dine-in. However, there is no explicit mention of dine-in or delivery services. Local users interested in these options should contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers: (912) 884-4488 or +1 912-884-4488 to inquire about their availability.

In terms of features, the potential for exceptionally flavorful and fresh dishes, as highlighted by one reviewer's experience with the chicken with cashews and pork fried rice, could be considered a feature when consistently delivered. However, the inconsistency in food preparation and the use of non-homemade spring rolls, as reported by the other reviewer, detract from this. The less-than-friendly service experienced by one customer is also a notable point. The limited competition in the area might be a factor influencing the restaurant's local standing, but it doesn't directly translate to a positive feature from a customer's perspective.

There is no promotional information included in the provided reviews. Local users interested in knowing about any special offers, discounts, or new menu items at Yummy House should contact the restaurant directly via phone. It might also be worthwhile to check if the restaurant has any online presence, such as a website or social media pages, where promotions might be advertised.

In conclusion, Yummy House in Midway, GA, presents a mixed bag based on the available customer reviews. While there is evidence of the restaurant being able to produce outstandingly delicious and fresh dishes that some customers rave about, there are also significant concerns regarding inconsistent food quality, order accuracy, the use of non-homemade items, and potentially unfriendly service. Local users considering Yummy House should weigh these contrasting experiences. If the positive experiences are indicative of the restaurant's potential, then Yummy House could be a great choice for Chinese food. However, the negative feedback suggests that there is a risk of encountering issues with food quality and service. Given the limited alternative Asian dining options in the area, Yummy House might still be a viable option for some, but potential customers should be aware of the reported inconsistencies and perhaps try a few different dishes to form their own opinion. Contacting the restaurant directly for information on their services and any current promotions is also recommended.

The woman at the counter.. not so friendly. I asked for fried non-breaded general tso tofu. Steamed is what I got 👎🏽 my shrimp fried rice tasted okay. The locals have nothing else to compare it to… it’s a small town and there was no other Asian spot for a good distance. I don’t know if I’ve ever thrown away Asian food before…. But it’s a first for everything. Oh and the spring rolls are not homemade. They look and taste exactly like what the ones out the freezer section of a grocery store

The lady who works here is very rude and has zero customer service skills! When you walk in the establishment, she doesn't greet you, but ask what can I get you. There's no smile but a stern look as if you're interrupting something. I will no longer patronize this restaurant and go where I'm appreciated!

The food we had made us so sick. My husband especially. He had the shrimp egg fuyung. The chicken was questionable and the fried rice was the worst I’ve had. He only thing decent was the shrimp. 4 dinner meals for $50 that I’ll never spend here again. Midway needs another Chinese food option. In the meantime I’ll just keep going to Hinesville for it.
