Yummy House China Bistro Tampa

First time here and we will definitely be back! The huge family-style portions are worth the price, which was still reasonable, and everything came out quick, hot, and delicious!! Many reviews recommended the honey walnut shrimp which did not disappoint. Their Cantonese Eight Treasures was good if you're looking for an almost seafood stew, though ours was mostly tofu, but the sauce was delicious. And their fried rice and fried eggplant were awesome! The space itself was very clean and our server was also very nice!

I love a good dim sum, and being Michelin recommend, how could this be a bad experience? Unlike most places I've been to in the past, they offer dim sum for lunch everyday and not just the weekend. We came on a Saturday afternoon and they were understandably busy. We had to wait about 20min after signing in to the kiosk. After we were seated and ordered drinks, the carts started rolling past our table. This place isn't as large, so they didn't have the variety I'm used to. I didn't see a noodle or vegetable cart l, but we made sure to load up on dumplings. You can also order what you don't see, or something from their full menu. I had to ask for the chicken feet even though he had some on his cart, the look on his face when I asked for some explained why. We had an order of salt and pepper squid and Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce for the table. The salt and pepper wasn't as spicy, which allowed him to enjoy it. Everything was really good, even if my soup dumplings were missing most of the soup. She had the best sesame balls in her life, and yes they were that good. We had to wait for them to make another Togo order for us. They were glad I made them take me there as they haven't been in years.

Service was great and atmosphere was nice. We tried the shortribs, black bean chicken, and beef chowfun. The chowfun was my favorite but the other dishes were just okay — they didn't seem very high quality or too different from other casual chinese restaurants. My friends and I agreed that the shortribs were extremely chewy and hard to eat like a rubber band. Everything you see was about $80 after tip.

The food in Yummy House China Bistro is always fantastic, large portions so you can definitely share if you want, everything comes pipping hot and staff are always efficient and helpful. My only downside to this restaurant is it's noisy as it's a big places. Definitely worth a trip to try their food.

Michelin recommended dim sum with a large selection of dishes outside of dim sum. Elegant dining room with very comfortable chairs. Sake, wine and beer available. My dining companion enjoyed the wheeled carts of dim sum while I partook in fried tofu with a special salt and pepper mix with cilantro, green onion, jalapeño and roasted garlic and a clay pot of white fish with shiitake mushroom and tofu in a minced bean sauce.
