Based on recent customer reviews, the dining experience at Yummy House Altamonte Springs appears to be varied. Some customers found the food to be mediocre, with specific criticisms regarding the lack of traditional flavors in dishes like chicken feet and honeycomb tripe. The sesame chicken was described as overly sweet and inedible due to the syrupy sauce. Other dishes, such as the steamed pork ribs and pan-fried chive dumplings, were noted for lacking flavor and proper texture. The salt & pepper calamari was criticized for having too much batter and a rubbery texture.

However, there were also positive remarks about certain dishes. The bistro lo mein, containing tender beef, chicken, and shrimp (though the baby shrimp were overcooked), was well-received. The stuffed eggplant with shrimp and a nice sauce was highlighted as delicious. Additionally, one reviewer found the dumplings to be very large and delicious with generous filling and flavorful when paired with the sauce. The spicy calamari was praised for its crispiness and perfect spice level, and the clay pots were described as the standout of the meal due to the mix of ingredients and the depth of flavor in the sauce.

The ambiance of Yummy House is described as casual but nice, with ample seating. Customers noted immediate greeting upon arrival and generally good service, where it seemed that all staff members worked collaboratively. While some dishes were served quickly, others experienced delays, and one reviewer expressed a preference for dim sum dishes to be served all at once.

In terms of value, one customer found the price, flavors, and portions to be fantastic, emphasizing the vast menu with many options. This customer specifically recommended the large and flavorful dumplings, the crispy and perfectly spiced calamari, and the flavorful clay pots, expressing intent to return.

Overall, Yummy House Altamonte Springs offers a wide variety of Chinese dishes, with some receiving high praise while others have been met with criticism. The restaurant provides a casual atmosphere and generally good service, with pricing and portions being seen as a strong point by some.

Food was mediocre. I was not blown away but I did enjoy a few things. Chicken feet lacks the black bean and umami flavor. They are fall of the home tender. Honeycomb tripe lacks flavor as well. They were also tender. The sesame chicken was very syrupy and inedible to it being so sweet. The chicken was battered and fried to a nice crunch but the syrup sauce made it inedible. The bistro lo mein was delicious. It had tender beef slices, chicken and shrimp. The baby shrimp were overcooked. It had broccoli, onions and snap peas as well; we finished the lo mein dish. Steam pork ribs lacked a lot of flavor. They weren't as tender as I've had at other places. The stuffed eggplant is delicious. It was stuffed with shrimp and had a nice sauce with it. Sui Mai didn't have much shrimp flavor, very pork forward. Sesame balls needed to be fried longer for the crispy outer texture. It was a ball of mush. Pan fried chive dumplings definitely needed to be fried longer. It was very soggy and falling apart; it also didn't have good flavor. Salt & pepper calamari has way too much batter and bland. Calamari was rubbery inside. Wrong type of batter for this dish. Ambiance is casual but nice. There's many tables. The to-go counter is right when you enter. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Service was good. We don't have a set server, it appeared that everyone worked together there. Some food came out very quick while others took a while. When eating dim sum I do prefer my food to come out at once.

The price of the food and the flavors with the portions that you get are fantastic and the menu is vast with a lot of options to choose from. The dumplings were very large and delicious with a generous amount of filling and flavor when paired with the sauce. The spicy calamari had a nice crisp with a perfect ratio of breading to calamari and the spice level was perfect. The clay pots were definitely the star of the meal for me with the mix of ingredients and the depth of flavor from the sauce base they used. I would definitely come back again to try more!

2 of my fave dish here are The honey walnut chicken - it is crispy yet tender with a perfect sweet-nutty balance, and the seafood tofu claypot is rich, savory, and packed with shrimp, squid, and scallops—a solid, satisfying combo.

Yummy House Altamonte, it's fast becoming my most very favorite Chinese restaurant in Orlando! It's the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the Orlando area, comparable to the chinese restaurants in Chinatown, NYC. You can always get "Americanized" mainstream chinese food here. But, you can also get the authentic pungent chinese recipes that I love! All of their "salt and pepper" appetizers are delicious! I always get a salt and pepper app whenever we go there to eat. My husband loves their Chow Fun; the fat chewy noodles are so satisfying! We have been looking for a chinese restaurant that serves good Chow Fun, and we finally found it at Yummy House! They have a larger selection of soups than most other chinese restaurant, and they are all delicious! The service is great, and the food is served very quickly. All of the staff is very polite and helpful. Yvonne is the most helpful and polite! I love seeing her smiling face whenever we walk into the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to eat here on a regular basis. We are going to try every single one of their dim sum!! 😋 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently picked up lunch from Yummy House in Altamonte for myself and some customers, and I was thoroughly impressed. The sweet and sour chicken and the special spicy yummy chicken were both outstanding. The lunch deal offered was excellent, providing great value for the quality of food. The service was fast and efficient, and the food arrived fresh and steamy, which made for a satisfying meal. The spicy yummy chicken had just the right kick, and the sweet and sour chicken was perfectly balanced. Yummy House definitely delivered on both taste and service. I’ll be sure to return and recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, freshly prepared Chinese food.
