Yumi Asian Bistro

This place was very good years ago. Management has changed I assume. My on line order, two weeks ago, was the Young ginger duck. I received some slivers of fried and sauced, I'm not sure what. This was hidden among chunks of vegetables i.e. broccoli, onions, sweet peppers radishes etc. Extremely disappointing. When I went in to complain there was no apology. I was told that it was 8 ounces of meat and that's the dish. I'll not be buying anything from them again.

Drinks were very weak, even the sake tasted watered down and I drink sake often. One meal was supposed to have white rice which was omitted.cook made our fried rice by frying 2 eggs mixing in white rice and covering in soy sauce which cost $3.75 pp and there was 7 of us. Cook did not do any activities so watched other tables be amused by cook. Scallops were good but chicken was tough and tasteless.

I think its important to let people know that this restaurant is selling old food. We received our order today and the all vegetables were soft and mushy. At first we thought it was over cooked but it was recooked. When we got to the shrimp it was hard and dry not fresh at all. (I think everyone knows what old shrimp tastes like.)The dish is supposed to be spicy no spice at all. My husband had the Terriyaki Salmon, there was no teriyaki and the Salmon was placed on soft mushy vegetables as well. I would never eat from them again. Things are way too expensive to spend your money and not get freshly cooled food. So, I hope this review helps someone!

I was not too impressed. The food was not as tasteful as the Hibachi in City Island and the chef was not as humorous or interactive. He put shrimp in my son's plate and I told him he is allergic he can't have that on his plate, yet he made no effort to remedy the situation or remove the shell fish. I will never go again.

The food was excellent as was the service!! Highly recommend this establishment. Kudos to our chef Jerry!! Great job!
