About Yum Yum Express‎

Welcome to Yum Yum Express, a Chinese restaurant located at 931 Village Blvd #906 in West Palm Beach, Florida, 33409, USA. As a Chinese restaurant, Yum Yum Express aims to provide a convenient option for local residents seeking a variety of Chinese dishes, primarily focusing on takeout services. The address suggests that the restaurant is situated within a shopping plaza or commercial area along Village Boulevard. While the provided reviews do not offer specific details about the restaurant's interior ambiance, it is typical for takeout-oriented establishments to have a functional space with a counter for placing and picking up orders, and a kitchen area for food preparation. The atmosphere is generally casual and focused on efficiency for quick service.

The primary service offered by Yum Yum Express is takeout, catering to customers who wish to enjoy their Chinese meals off-site. Based on one of the reviews mentioning weekly/bi-weekly takeout orders, it can be inferred that Yum Yum Express has established a regular customer base for this service. While not explicitly stated, it is also common for Chinese takeout restaurants to offer delivery services within a certain geographical area. To confirm if Yum Yum Express provides delivery to your location, as well as to inquire about the possibility of online ordering or any other specific services they might offer, it is recommended to contact them directly at their phone number: (561) 686-1998 or their mobile phone: +1 561-686-1998.

Customer reviews for Yum Yum Express present a mixed perspective on the food quality and service. One customer, who had been a regular, reported a negative experience involving finding a hair in their meal and a sour-tasting sauce. Their attempt to obtain a refund was unsuccessful, with the manager reportedly offering only a free meal instead. This customer expressed dissatisfaction with this policy and stated they would not be returning due to the food safety concern. This review raises a significant issue regarding food hygiene and customer service response to such problems, which potential customers should be aware of.

On the other hand, another customer, who is also a regular for takeout, shared a positive experience with a specific dish. While their usual order is General Tso's chicken (which they did not comment on in this review), they tried the chicken honey ginger dish and found it to be "AMAZING." They described it as similar to sweet and sour chicken but with a standout sauce that had a noticeable fresh ginger flavor and a balanced sweetness. This customer even found the leftover sauce to be versatile and enjoyable in a subsequent home-cooked Japanese dish. This positive feedback highlights that Yum Yum Express is capable of producing well-received and flavorful dishes.

However, this same positive reviewer noted a change in the appetizer of dumplings. They mentioned that the current offering is gyoza (potstickers) with a thinner dough, rather than the thicker dough of traditional Chinese dumplings they were accustomed to. This suggests a potential change in the menu or preparation style of certain items, which might be relevant for customers with specific preferences for dumpling types.

The contrasting reviews indicate that the experience at Yum Yum Express can be variable. While some dishes, like the honey ginger chicken, have been highly praised, there are also concerns about food safety and the handling of customer complaints. The change in the dumpling appetizer might also be a factor for regular customers who preferred the previous style.

Given the limited information on promotional offers, it is advisable for local users to contact Yum Yum Express directly to inquire about any current specials, lunch deals, or other promotions they might be running. Chinese takeout restaurants often have combination meals or discounts for larger orders. Checking their menu online, if available, or asking when placing a phone order can provide details on pricing and any special offers.

In conclusion, Yum Yum Express in West Palm Beach is a Chinese restaurant primarily focused on takeout. While it has garnered praise for certain dishes like the honey ginger chicken, there are also significant concerns raised by a customer regarding food safety and the restaurant's refund policy. Regular customers have also noted changes in some menu items, such as the dumplings. Local users considering Yum Yum Express should weigh these mixed reviews. If you are interested in trying their food, particularly dishes that have received positive feedback, it would be prudent to inquire about their food preparation standards and policies regarding food quality issues when placing your order. For information on their menu, delivery services, and any current promotions, please contact Yum Yum Express directly at (561) 686-1998 or +1 561-686-1998.

I usually order from this place as it is my go to for Chinese. Not anymore. Tried to call for a refund after a hair was found in my meal and the sauce tasted sour and off. The manager told me that their restaurant does not “complete refunds” and can only give me a free meal. Why would I want to return to a place where I find hair in my food? No thank you. Will not be returning.

This is our usual take out spot weekly/bi-weekly. I decided to go out of my usual General Tso zone and go for something different. My wife always gets the Chick with mixed veg with SOS and I tried a chicken honey ginger dish with dumplings (not really, but I'll get to that in a sec). My wife's dish is the biz as usual, but my ginger dish was AMAZING. it's like sweet and sour chicken, but the sauce is what took it over the top. You can taste the fresh ginger and it was sweet, but not too sweet. Some left over sauced served another purpose for a Japanese grill dish I did a couple of days later and did not disappoint. The appetizer of dumplings are not what they used to be. These are gyoza (potstickers) and not the thicker dough that is traditional.

Ordered General Tsos Chicken. The portions were filling. Gave 3 stars because ordered it Hot and Spice but there is zero spice/heat and sauce is to sweet. Same sweetness as the orang chicken.

Someone recommended this place to me and the first time it was good, but every time after that becomes more disappointing. Overcooked shrimp, while everything else seems to have been prepared in old oil. Very disappointed
