Yuki Japanese Restaurant

We came here and had the lunch specials which were excellent. The sushi was very fresh and the service was quick. The hibachi and unagi don were very good. The tempura ice cream was a nice treat and only five dollars (they also separated the chocolate sauce upon request).

We ordered take out. 40 minutes after ordering we went to pick it up. The service was awful. There was no one at the front area, and we weren't acknowledged by any of the servers when we came in. After a few minutes of waiting we were helped, but the food wasn't ready. The server had the nerve to blame the sushi chefs, when in fact our order had been taken by a delivery driver by accident. If I hadn't pressed him about it, he wouldn't have bothered to ask in the back and figure out the mistake. We ended up waiting 30 minutes at the restaurant. When we finally got home with the food, it's mediocre at best. The regular sushi was ok, but the tempura sushi was soggy. The sesame tofu was awful, way too sweet, and somehow hollow. I will say that the dumplings were quite good, but they're definitely store bought.

I live locally and we order Yuki once or twice a month. I've done delivery, take-out, and (less often) dine-in. They never disappoint, and the food is consistently delicious. Their lunch boxes are fully loaded. They have really nice people working there. We've never had an issue with any order, but if we did, I am sure they would fix it. We are satisfied regulars and will keep coming back. =) One suggestion: please make sure your delivery drivers carry at least a small amount of change (meaning small bills, not coins), especially if you know the customer will be paying in cash. I've had to scramble around the house a couple times because they have no change. I feel bad making them wait, but I would feel worse shorting them an appropriate tip.

GREAT FOOD!! I went with my family a few weeks ago and I had the best roll from this place. Everything we ordered was served perfectly and tasted fresh. Would recommend 10/10. Staff was friendly and the place felt very welcoming.

We came to Yuki for dinner. It was pretty empty so we sat at our booth of choice. The waitress brought menus immediately and we noticed the price change on the menu done with white out and pen . That was a first! We settled on The angry bird, the sweetheart roll, the crispy salmon roll and the outta control roll. All of the rolls were just okay. The fish quality was average at best. Nothing particularly wrong with them, just not anything special. The service was very slow, we were not in a rush however, it was slow. The rolls took about 25 minutes to come out. They were presented well and they serve very generous sashimi portions ( we ordered salmon sashimi) . We ended dinner with tempura vanilla ice cream. Overall, this is an okay spot. There are significantly better in the area. I would not return here.
