About YU Noodles

YU Noodles, situated at 319 North Ave in Garwood, New Jersey, is a new addition to the Chinese Restaurant category, with a particular focus on noodle dishes. Based on early customer feedback, YU Noodles offers a promising dining experience, especially for those seeking a quick and satisfying noodle-centric meal. The restaurant appears to be newly opened, generating initial buzz and attracting local diners.

One of the early reviews highlights the restaurant's core offering: the noodles. The customer found the noodles to be "pretty good," suggesting a satisfactory quality in their primary menu item. While they described some of the appetizers as "just Ok," specifically not recommending the spicy chicken appetizer, their overall impression was positive enough to warrant a return visit for a "quick noodle lunch." This indicates that the noodles are a standout feature and reasonably priced, making YU Noodles a potential go-to spot for a casual noodle meal.

Another customer shared their experience from the opening day of YU Noodles. Despite the restaurant being busy, they noted that the staff handled everything "very well," indicating efficient and capable service even under pressure. This is a positive sign for the operational management of a new establishment. The reviewer also provided details about the restaurant's environment, describing it as "new, clean, well lit and spacious." These are crucial factors for creating a comfortable and inviting dining atmosphere, suggesting that YU Noodles has paid attention to the physical setup of their space.

In terms of service, the opening day reviewer praised the "good and fast table service." Efficient service is always appreciated by diners, especially when the restaurant is busy, and this positive feedback suggests that YU Noodles aims to provide a timely and attentive dining experience. Regarding the food, this customer found it to be "above average" and specifically recommended the soup dumplings and the wontons. These dishes appear to be early favorites among patrons, highlighting potential specialties of the restaurant beyond just noodles. The reviewer also mentioned the "quite large" menu, expressing their intention to return to try more dishes, indicating a diverse range of culinary offerings.

Further positive aspects noted by the opening day customer include "good size portions" and "easy to park." Generous portion sizes contribute to customer satisfaction and perceived value for money, while convenient parking is a significant advantage for attracting local diners. These practical considerations add to the overall appeal of YU Noodles.

Based on these initial reviews, YU Noodles in Garwood, NJ, presents itself as a clean, spacious, and efficiently run Chinese restaurant specializing in noodles. The noodles themselves have been described as "pretty good," and other dishes like the soup dumplings and wontons have received high praise. The menu is noted to be quite large, suggesting a variety of options beyond noodle dishes. The restaurant offers fast and good table service, reasonable prices (at least for the noodles), and convenient parking, making it an accessible and appealing choice for a quick lunch or a more extensive meal.

While the initial feedback is largely positive, it's important to note the one caveat regarding the "just Ok" appetizers, with a specific recommendation against the spicy chicken appetizer. This suggests that while the noodle-centric dishes and some specialties like soup dumplings and wontons are strong, other parts of the menu might be less consistent in quality. As the restaurant is new, it is possible that the menu and preparation methods are still being refined.

The reviews do not provide specific details about the overall ambiance or decor beyond being "new, clean, well lit and spacious." This suggests a modern and comfortable environment, which is often appreciated by diners. However, more nuanced descriptions of the atmosphere are not available in the current feedback.

Regarding services, YU Noodles offers dine-in service with fast and good table service reported. Given the focus on noodles and quick lunch potential, it is also likely that they offer takeout services, although this is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. Local users interested in delivery options would need to check with the restaurant directly.

As a new restaurant, YU Noodles might be focusing on establishing its reputation and building a customer base. The provided reviews do not contain any information about specific promotional offers or grand opening specials that might have been available. Local users interested in any current promotions or special deals should consider contacting the restaurant directly at (908) 573-0455 or +1 908-573-0455 or visiting their location at 319 North Ave in Garwood, NJ.

In conclusion, YU Noodles in Garwood, NJ, appears to be a promising new Chinese restaurant, particularly for noodle enthusiasts. With "pretty good" noodles, highly recommended soup dumplings and wontons, a large menu, fast and courteous service, a clean and spacious environment, reasonable prices, and easy parking, it offers several compelling reasons for local users to visit. While some appetizers might be a weaker point, the overall initial feedback is positive, suggesting a worthwhile dining experience, especially for a quick noodle lunch or to explore their broader menu. As a new establishment, it will be interesting to see how their menu and reputation evolve. For those in the Garwood area, YU Noodles presents a fresh option for enjoying Chinese cuisine.

Noodles are pretty good. Just Ok appetizers (the spicy chicken appetizer not recommended). I would like to go back for a quick noodle lunch. Reasonable price.

I went on opening day. The place was busy but the staff handled everything very well. The place is new, clean, well lit and spacious. Good and fast table service. The food is above average and I recommend the soup dumplings and the wontons. I will go backnto try more dishes, as the menu is quite large. Good size portions, easy to park.

Everything was delicious! We had the pork and shrimp soup dumplings, Sichuan beef noodles soup, and flounder and sour cabbage rice noodle soup. For dessert we had the jello and brown sugar dish, which was also very yummy! We will recommend this place to others.

This place was so delicious! My friend and I ordered the peppercorn spicy soup dumplings, the scallion pancakes and the beef brisket w/rice noodles in golden soup. It’s so good to finally have a decent noodle restaurant in this area! I will be coming back again!

It was around 8pm on a Thursday, my wife was working late so I told her to pick up from Yu Noodles on her way home. We've eaten soup dumplings in many places, some from the Michelin Guide, others just holes in the wall. We spent $77 and got 3 orders of chicken soup dumplings, 1 order of pork soup dumplings, 1 order of sticky rice siomai, 1 order of pan fried pork buns and 1 order of the sesame paste noodles with minced pork. Every last bit of this meal was disappointing. The chicken soup dumplings were RAW in the middle, the sesame paste noodles had no flavor, the pork siomai was extremely dry and the fried pork dumpling was generic and the bun to filling ratio was off. This was truly a let down because my wife, kids and I all love soup dumplings and we couldn't enjoy this meal. I am giving 2 stars because the gentlemen on the phone, Stanley, was very respectful and offered a full refund for the order. So thank god the customer service is decent. Sadly that won't be enough to keep us coming back.
