About Young Chow Restaurant

Young Chow Restaurant, located at 1033 W Glebe Rd, Alexandria, VA 22305, USA, is a Chinese restaurant primarily offering delivery and pickup services. They can be contacted at (703) 963-3616 or +1 703-963-3616.

Customer reviews indicate that Young Chow Restaurant is known for its "VERY good" Chinese food, with some considering it among the best in the DMV area, even compared to New York standards. The food is frequently described as fresh and tasty, with above-average portion sizes and reasonable prices for the location. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients is highlighted, particularly in shrimp dishes where the shrimp are noted to be large and plentiful.

A significant feature of Young Chow Restaurant is its late operating hours, a considerable advantage as most other Asian restaurants in the area close earlier. This makes it a convenient option for late-night cravings.

However, it is crucial to note that Young Chow Restaurant operates within the Four Mile Food Company building, situated behind a 7/11. For pickup orders placed through platforms like Uber Eats, customers need to go to a designated pickup locker room. Some customers have reported difficulties in locating the "restaurant" and experienced significant delays with pickup orders, including issues with order accuracy and even orders being given away to others. It is strongly advised to opt for delivery rather than pickup based on these experiences.

On the other hand, customers who have used the delivery service have reported better experiences, with orders being accurate and the food quality remaining high. Dishes like the Kung Pao chicken and lo mein have been specifically praised for their taste.

Currently, no specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Local users seeking delicious Chinese food with late-night delivery in Alexandria should consider Young Chow Restaurant, keeping in mind that it functions primarily as a delivery service operating from a food preparation hub.

VERY good Chinese food. Probably some of the best Chinese food in the DMV. This is coming from someone who’s had a lot of Chinese food in NY and has high standards. The food is fresh, tasty. Price is definitely good for this area. Portions are above average. I’ve had a couple shrimp dishes which are usually an indicator of whether the place is using cheap ingredients or not. Shrimp that came with my udon noodles were huge, plentiful, obviously fresh. Gentleman who works in the back is very nice. Also open late which is a huge plus as every other Asian restaurant in town closes by about 10 or 11. Please note the place is behind 7/11 inside the four mile food company building.

Nice staff but terrible experience ordering from this "restaurant" that took 1.5+ hrs and someone stole my order even while I was already waiting there for my food. Do not pick up. Only do delivery. Half of my order was wrong but the correct portion was good. I ordered on Uber Eats for pick up and spent over 20 min trying to find the "restaurant" in a somewhat sketchy area near a gas station at night. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times to get directions, which were poorly explained. Turns out this is not a physical restaurant - you have to go to the Uber Eats pick up waiting locker room behind the 7/11 where there are multiple "restaurants" but they only put your order in a locker for pick up. By the time I arrived my food should've already been ready but it took over an hour for them to finally get my food - I had to call multiple times and they started avoiding my calls. And even when they told me my food would be ready, they ended up giving it away to somebody else. The staff member had to deliver it later on and was very apologetic nearly another hour later. Half the food order was completely wrong but the part that was correct was good. *** Gave this another try with delivery and they got the order right this time. Food was really good, especially kung Pao chicken and lo mein.

This place doesn’t exist. There are no signs even behind 7-11. It only lists boardwalk menus. Also called to see if they could help with directions and got cut off.
