About Yong Sheng

Yong Sheng is a Chinese restaurant situated at 11919 101st Ave in South Richmond Hill, New York, 11419. As a local establishment within the "Chinese Restaurant" category, Yong Sheng offers a range of Chinese culinary options, primarily focusing on takeout and delivery services, as suggested by the available customer feedback. Potential customers can reach Yong Sheng at their phone number: (718) 441-9662 or mobile number: +1 718-441-9662 to place orders or inquire about their menu.

Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at Yong Sheng appear to be mixed. One customer reported attempting to modify their order shortly after placing it, specifically changing shrimp lowmein to veggie lowmein, but was informed that this was not possible as the food had already been prepared. This same customer noted that while the food was good, the customer service was described as "trash," also questioning the discrepancy between the perceived speed of food preparation and the estimated delivery time.

Another review paints a more critical picture, with the customer using strong negative language to describe their experience. This customer alleged receiving "Old Food" and specifically mentioned ordering shrimp and broccoli, chicken wings, and an "apple stick." According to this review, the rice had an overnight odor, the shrimp smelled fishy, and the apple sticks were described as fried bread with no apple filling. The reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction, especially due to their child having consumed some of the food before the alleged quality issues were noticed. This customer strongly advised others to either cook at home or order from places known for quality, mentioning a Cantonese restaurant on 101st Ave and 110th St as a preferred alternative that is reportedly closed on Mondays.

Given these two recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive and objectively positive introduction to Yong Sheng without potentially omitting crucial information about recent customer experiences. The feedback highlights potential concerns regarding both the quality of the food in some instances and the level of customer service provided. These are important factors for local users to consider when deciding where to order Chinese food.

Regarding the environment of the restaurant, the provided information does not offer any insights into the physical space. As such, it is not possible to describe the ambiance or dining area. Based on the nature of the reviews, it is plausible that Yong Sheng primarily operates as a takeout and delivery service, with less emphasis on a dine-in experience. However, this is speculative and cannot be confirmed without further information.

Similarly, specific details about the features of Yong Sheng are not available in the provided text. It is unknown whether they offer any unique dishes, specialties, or particular aspects that set them apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area. The menu items mentioned in the reviews (half a chicken, fried rice, shrimp lowmein, veggie lowmein, shrimp and broccoli, chicken wings, apple stick) are common offerings in many Chinese-American restaurants, suggesting a standard menu. However, the preparation and quality of these items, as indicated by the negative review, seem to be areas of concern.

Promotional information is also absent from the provided data. It is not known if Yong Sheng currently offers any discounts, special deals, or loyalty programs to attract customers. Local users interested in potential promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire.

In summary, Yong Sheng is a Chinese restaurant located in South Richmond Hill, offering takeout and delivery services. Recent customer feedback indicates potential issues with food quality and customer service. One review described receiving what was perceived as old food and poorly prepared items, while another mentioned dissatisfaction with the inflexibility regarding order changes and the overall customer service experience. While one customer mentioned the food being "good" in the context of a specific order, the more detailed negative review raises significant concerns. Local users are advised to consider these recent experiences when making a decision about ordering from Yong Sheng. For more information on their menu, current offerings, and any potential improvements in service or food quality, contacting the restaurant directly may provide further clarity.

Given the conflicting nature and the seriousness of the negative feedback regarding food quality, it is imperative for potential customers to be aware of these recent experiences. While every restaurant can have occasional off days, the issues raised in the negative review are significant enough to warrant caution. It would be beneficial for Yong Sheng to address these concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation within the local community.

For local users seeking a Chinese restaurant in the South Richmond Hill area, it might be prudent to consider these reviews alongside other available information or personal recommendations before placing an order with Yong Sheng. Direct communication with the restaurant may also provide an opportunity to gauge their current standards and address any specific concerns before making a purchase.

Called to place an order for delivery at @ 7:57pm for a half a chicken with fried rice and shrimp lowmein. Called back at 7:58pm to change the shrimp lowmein into a veggie lowmein. I was told they can’t do that because the food was made already. How tf you make shrimp lowmein in one minute but it take 30 min for delivery? Food is good but customer service is trash.

Disgusting! These people are so money hungry that they send out Old Food. I order a shrimp and broccoli, chicken wings and apple stick. The rice smelled like rice that had sat out over night. The shrimp smelled fishy. The apple sticks were fried bread with zero apple filling. I was extremely angry because my child had already took a few bites before I realized. People cook your own food or order from quality places. I normally order from a Cantonese place on 101 ave and 110th st but they are closed on Mondays. Their food is always fresh and great tasting.

This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had so oily it squirted out of the food and the fried stuff was undercooked or raw inside. I was overcharged by about $5 and when I called they could not explain to me why but just promise me an extra soup next time :-( The pork stuff did not taste like pork or have the texture of pork so I really don't know what I ate in my food, maybe it was chemically treated somehow or MSG

Continuously disappointing. I went to this restaurant because of the connivence of location but the food comes out to oily. The taste of the meals on a great day is mediocre and on average poor. To top it off the service is horrible never thought I would receive attitude just to get extra sauce. Never going back!
