They have a new owner. The place looks really clean and I ordered the shrimp lo mein and it’s pretty good. Staff is also really friendly. I recommend this place.
Let’s get this right. 0 stars. I was excited to try this place as I had never been before, and I was hoping for something decent even closer to home. Unfortunately, they did not even come close to decent. I’ve seen albinos with more of a tan than their chicken. Their fried rice had no flavor. I don’t know what other ingredients they used to flavor it, but I’m pretty sure it’s just whatever oil is in the pan. No egg, soy sauce that could barely be seen and definitely not tasted, 0 veggies, … their sweet-and-sour chicken was generic and instead of sweet-and-sour sauce on the side, they served it with duck sauce. Their pork and garlic sauce, literally tasted like over cooked pork with 0 garlic in a pool of oil. Their lo mein had no flavor, was soaking in a pool of oil as well, and their four seasons was as bland as they come. The best part of my meal was the prepackaged crispy noodles from some third party they ordered bags from. This was a total disappointment and a complete waste of money. We threw our food in the trash.
Yips is in a building that formerly housed another Chinese place. The previous place went totally nuclear before closing. Yips has that hurdle to overcome. I decided to give them a try today. We got 2 orders of Sesame chicken combo platter. Took less than 15 minutes (we waited). Was surprised, ordered white meat chicken, and got exactly that. Cooked well, hot, and tasty. The lady at the counter was pleasant, cost was on average for local Chinese. Kitchen and dining area were spotless compared to previous owners. WILL RETURN. I recommend. Hope they keep it up.
Ordered via DoorDash because of a promo. Food was cooked PERFECTLY. Didn’t get to take a pic because I devoured it. Asked for extra spicy for one and they fulfilled! Good was so fresh/hot I had to blow on some of the chicken after the first bite burnt my mouth, haha.
Yip’s hit the spot tonight! The food was prepared fast and piping hot when it got delivered. It smelled delicious and tasted even better. We got Sesame chicken with white rice, General Tsos chicken with pork fried rice, and House special Mei fun with some spring rolls, egg rolls, and egg drop wonton soup. Everything was delicious, if I didn’t have some self control I would have eaten every single last bite. But me tomorrow will be grateful I have leftovers for lunch. You gotta check them out and show them some love!
