About Ying's Teahouse & Yum-Yum

Ying's Teahouse & Yum-Yum, located at 4312 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214, USA, specializes in authentic Cantonese cuisine. You can contact them at (614) 262-7587 or +1 614-262-7587 for orders and inquiries.

Customer reviews highlight the restaurant's authentic Cantonese dishes, particularly the Beef Chow Ho Fun, which is described as delicious. The fried chicken is also praised for being crispy and juicy. The restaurant, though unassuming, offers a taste of genuine Cantonese flavors.

While the restaurant previously offered Beijing cuisine, the ownership change has shifted the focus to Cantonese dishes. Customers who have tried various items, including the vegetable and tofu dumplings, tofu pad thai, and sweet sesame balls, generally express satisfaction. The vegetable and tofu dumplings, filled with spinach, are considered good, though some customers suggest they could benefit from more ingredients. The tofu pad thai is noted to have a different taste than traditional pad thai in Columbus, but is still considered good. The sweet sesame balls, filled with red bean, are highly recommended.

However, the Thai tea received negative feedback, with one customer describing it as bitter.

Portions are described as generous, and the overall experience is positive. The restaurant is recommended for those seeking authentic Cantonese cuisine in Columbus, OH.

Such a low key Chantonese restaurant!! I was dealing some person stuffs in the neighborhood and got attracted by their authentic Beijing food 8 years ago. They don’t make Beijing food anymore since the ownership changed. So I ordered Beef Chow Ho Fun and it was so authentic and so delicious. I talked to the owner and asked where he is from and it turns out he is from Guangdon and that’s why the Beef Chow Ho Fun is so delicious!! The fried chicken is also crispy and juicy! I am so satisfied and happy to find this little hidden authentic Chinese restaurant! Definitely recommend everybody to try!!

I ordered online and picked up. My food was amazing but the thai tea was not good; it was really bitter. I had gotten the vegetable and tofu dumplings which were just spinach; those were good but more was needed in them. I also got the tofu pad thai which was good but had a different taste than traditional pad thai here in columbus. Lastly I got the sweet sesame balls which were filled with red bean, those are a MUST!! Portions were generous. Overall I liked it. 2 entrees, a drink, and dessert was about $40.

I have never visited this restaurant...... However, I have ordered via Uber eats a few times. The house pad thai is hands down the most meat filled I've ever had. I couldn't take a bite without a shrip or some soft delicate chicken, and even the beef was velvety soft. Tom Kah soup is so amazing. Eat it cold for a whole new experience Never order the cold noodles with peanut sauce. I literally got a bowl of noodles with peanut butter. It was hands down the worst dish I have ever had the misfortune of tasting. Even with that bad dish, this is still my favorite. Go to restaurant.

Our first time at the restaurant and it was great! We love the food, it's so fresh and delicious. The portion is big enough for 4-5 people. I went there with my husband and we can have this for lunch and dinner again. Yuki was very helpful and kind. We are so happy that we have a good Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood. I'll be back again for lunch special!

Been going to this place for a little over a year and the food is great. However, the last time I was there i was given a rude awakening by the young lady who usually works there in the early afternoon. Long story short, I came during a regular business day to get daily the lunch special and she told me that they were only dinner. I'm a regular customer at this place and they easily could have made an exception. But they didn't and in many ways forced to leave. It was an extremely shameful and humiliating experience and it made me feel that much more unwelcome. What I have also noticed is how this young lady treats black customers and level of caution she uses in dealing with them. She doesn't that any of the white customers and she always gives them a warm greeting. I say this because I know for a fact that racism plays a huge part in how she views black customers. It's an intuitive feeling to know when you are not welcome in an establishment, and that's very much the case with Ying's Teahouse & Yum-Yum.......
