About Yin Ji Chang Fen 銀記腸粉
Yin Ji Chang Fen 銀記腸粉, located at 38-12 Prince St in Flushing, NY 11354, USA, is a Chinese restaurant that has garnered a reputation for its authentic Cantonese cuisine, particularly its signature dish, Chang Fen (滑腸粉), which are smooth rice noodle rolls. As a "Chinese Restaurant," Yin Ji Chang Fen specializes in this specific Cantonese delicacy, along with a selection of flavorful congees and other complementary items like Hong Kong milk tea. The restaurant appears to be a popular spot, especially known for the quality and taste of its Chang Fen.
The environment of Yin Ji Chang Fen in Flushing is described as having a limited number of tables. This suggests that it might be a relatively small establishment, focusing more on the quality of its food and efficient service rather than extensive seating capacity. One reviewer noted that during lunchtime, waiting for a table is common due to its popularity. However, a visit on a Monday morning around 10 am revealed plenty of available seats, indicating that off-peak hours might offer a more relaxed dine-in experience. The mention of the server providing small cups for sharing congee and Hong Kong milk tea among a group of four suggests a friendly and accommodating service style within the dine-in setting.
The service at Yin Ji Chang Fen is generally viewed positively. One reviewer who experienced both takeout and dine-in service reported a good dine-in experience. The server's provision of sharing cups indicates attentiveness and a willingness to enhance the group dining experience. The initial approach of using takeout to avoid potential lines also suggests that the service is efficient enough to handle a steady stream of orders. The overall impression is that while the restaurant can get busy, the service remains friendly and accommodating to dine-in customers.
The primary feature of Yin Ji Chang Fen is undoubtedly its Chang Fen, or Cantonese rice rolls. Multiple reviewers have highlighted the deliciousness and authenticity of this dish. Various types of Chang Fen have been sampled and praised, including those with marinated beef, chive shrimp, and fish fillet. One reviewer specifically appreciated the freshness of the ingredients, including the crispy lettuce often served with the rice rolls. The preparation of the Chang Fen is clearly a point of expertise, making it a must-try item for anyone visiting the restaurant. The popularity of this dish is evident from the fact that customers are willing to wait in line during peak hours just to enjoy it.
In addition to Chang Fen, Yin Ji Chang Fen also offers a variety of congees (粥). One reviewer mentioned trying different types and found the pork liver congee to be a favorite, noting that the liver was made very tender and flavorful. This suggests that their congee is also of high quality and well-prepared. However, another reviewer had a less impressive experience with the congee, stating that it wasn't remarkable and they likely wouldn't order it again. This indicates that while the Chang Fen is consistently praised, the congee might have a more varied reception among customers.
Another beverage mentioned in the reviews is the Hong Kong milk tea (港式奶茶). One reviewer who dined in with a group mentioned sharing it, implying that it is a standard offering at the restaurant. Hong Kong milk tea is a classic and beloved drink in Cantonese cuisine, known for its smooth and rich flavor. Its presence on the menu complements the other Cantonese dishes offered at Yin Ji Chang Fen, contributing to the overall authenticity of the dining experience.
The pricing at Yin Ji Chang Fen is described as "reasonably priced" by one reviewer, especially considering the high quality of the food. This affordability, combined with the delicious and authentic Cantonese dishes, makes it an attractive option for local users in Flushing. The value proposition of enjoying high-quality Chang Fen and other Cantonese favorites without incurring excessive costs is a significant draw for many patrons.

With a focus on fresh ingredients and flavorful preparations, their marinated beef, chive shrimp, and fish fillet Chang Fen have all received high praise. The service is generally friendly and accommodating, and the prices are considered reasonable for the quality of food offered. Despite the limited seating and potential wait times during peak hours, the exceptional Chang Fen makes Yin Ji Chang Fen a must-visit for local users in Flushing craving genuine Cantonese flavors.

I tried Yin Ji a few times with take out to avoid any wait in line, and finally dine in there for a breakfast on Monday morning around 10am, plenty of seats. I had different types of Chang Fen including marinated beef, chive shrimp, fish filet. They were all really good, I like how fresh their ingredients are, including the crispy lettuce. Also had different type of congee, my favorite is the pork liver one, the liver was made very tender and flavored well. I had good dine in experience as well, the server gave us small cups to share our congee and our HK milk tea when we dine there with group of four. Overall, high quality of food, reasonably priced and good service.
It is quite famous for Chang fen. The Flushing branch does not have many tables, so you have to wait during lunchtime. I ordered shrimp and pork chives chang fen each, and they were really delicious as they are famous. The taste of Congee was not impressive, and I don't think I will order it again. I would visit again just to eat Chang fen.
Love this place. They offer different types of steam rice crepes. It is thin compared to many dim sum restaurants. Place is clean too. The old style hong kong milk tea or milk tea mix with coffee are one of the best we ever tried. You can taste the tea and not too sweat. It is so much better than Chicago, Houston, etc place. It is where local eats. Also, pork rinds with curry was great!
We ordered “secret recipe” beef stew Chang fen and shrimp and beef Chang fen. Chang fen is great, beef stew is great and shrimp is great. I also love how much scallion they put in.
I had their chang fen other location before and it’s good. I happened to stop by flushing so I figured it should still be good but I was soooo wrong. I ordered the fried dough chang fen and the fried dough is old stale and hard like a rock. I can’t barely bite on it and the chang fen was barely warm when they finally bring it out to my table. I ordered the roast pork chang fen too and the roast pork is dry and freezer taste. Just horrible!!! The milk tea and the congee still ok. But if they are known for their chang fen, they better bring that good chang fen quality back. Just disappointed overall.
