About Yihi Japan

Yihi Japan is a Chinese restaurant located within the Apache Mall food court in Rochester, Minnesota. Situated in a busy shopping center environment, Yihi Japan operates as part of the Chinese restaurant category, aiming to provide shoppers and mall visitors with a selection of Chinese-style cuisine. Being located in a food court setting, it likely offers quick service options and is geared towards providing meals for on-the-go customers or those seeking a casual dining experience within the mall.

Based on the limited online reviews available, the customer experiences at Yihi Japan appear to be overwhelmingly negative and raise significant concerns regarding their service, food quality, and hygiene practices. One reviewer described an aggressive approach to attracting customers, stating, "I've been to car dealerships that pressure me less than they do walking by this place. Seriously they flag you down for samples from across the food court. It's unbelievable." This suggests a potentially overbearing sales tactic that some customers may find off-putting.

The second review details a severely negative experience that includes alarming allegations about food safety and hygiene. This customer reported finding a toothpick in their noodles and described the staff's reaction to this issue as "very rude." Furthermore, they claimed to have witnessed staff sneezing into the noodles while they were eating and noted that the staff were not wearing gloves or hairnets, indicating unsanitary food handling practices. Tragically, this reviewer also stated that they vomited 30 minutes after consuming the food, leading them to conclude that "yihi japan is the worst…" This review paints a dire picture of the restaurant's hygiene standards and the potential health risks associated with eating there.

Given these two reviews, the overall impression of Yihi Japan as a Chinese restaurant in the Apache Mall is extremely unfavorable. The first review points to aggressive and potentially bothersome customer service tactics, while the second review raises serious red flags about food safety, hygiene, and staff conduct. The allegations of sneezing into food and the lack of basic protective wear like gloves and hairnets are particularly concerning from a public health perspective.

For local users in Rochester seeking a Chinese restaurant within Apache Mall, the available reviews for Yihi Japan strongly suggest exercising extreme caution. The reported lack of hygiene and the subsequent illness experienced by one customer are critical issues that potential patrons should consider very seriously. While food court dining often implies a certain level of informality, basic food safety and courteous service are fundamental expectations for any establishment in the food service industry.

The location within Apache Mall might offer convenience for shoppers, but the negative feedback regarding both service style and hygiene practices overshadows any potential locational advantages. There is no information available about the specific environment of the food stall itself, but the issues raised by customers are more about staff behavior and food handling than the physical setting.

There is no information provided regarding any specific features of Yihi Japan, such as signature dishes or unique offerings. Similarly, no details about services beyond the basic provision of food within the food court setting (like dine-in seating within the shared food court area or takeout options) are available. Furthermore, there is no mention of any promotional offers or special deals that Yihi Japan might be running.

In light of the severe allegations of unsanitary food handling and the resulting illness reported in one review, it would be prudent for local users to consider other dining options within Apache Mall or elsewhere in Rochester. The aggressive customer solicitation described in the other review also suggests a potentially unpleasant interaction even before considering the food itself.

Without any positive feedback or information to counter these negative reports, it is difficult to recommend Yihi Japan as a viable option for those seeking Chinese cuisine in Rochester. The primary concerns revolve around food safety and customer service, which are critical aspects of any dining experience. Potential customers should weigh these serious issues heavily when deciding where to eat.

In conclusion, the limited online reviews for Yihi Japan, a Chinese restaurant located in the Apache Mall food court in Rochester, MN, paint a concerning picture. Allegations of aggressive customer solicitation, rude service, unsanitary food handling practices (including sneezing into food and a lack of gloves and hairnets), and a reported case of foodborne illness are serious issues that potential customers should be aware of. Local users seeking Chinese food in Rochester are strongly advised to consider these negative experiences before choosing to dine at or order from Yihi Japan.

They are rude about the service. The yell at all the people walking by them. The portions are little and the food has no flavor whatsoever. Worst food I ever paid for in my life. I can't believe I wasted my money here.
