Customer Reviews
We ordered sweet & sour chicken, beef & brocolli both with fried rice & egg roll along with an order of Wontong Egg Drop Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice, & it came with an order of Free General Tao’s Chicken.. I see why it was FREE! They could have kept it! The egg drop soup tasted BURNT! The shrimp fried rice was MUSHY and the fried rice was NOT FLAVORFUL! The beef and brocolli.. I don’t think that is beef. It was GROSS!! You couldn’t even chew it and the sauce was nasty and tasted BURNT as well. It was BAD! The sweet and sour chicken was decent and the sweet tea was good! That’s IT! This other stuff is what you feed to someone you hate! We called and spoke with 2 ladies and she told me different people ordered & no one complained today. I asked do you cook 1 big batch of fried rice or cook it separately when ordered?? She claimed they cook it separately. I asked so how would it taste the same? I’m telling you this taste burnt & I asked if they could come get the food back and return our money?? I told her I’m good with paying for the tea & the sweet n sour chicken. She said no she won’t refund it because we don’t like the taste of how they cook. I said NO it’s because it taste BURNED! Then she said we close in 20 minutes so if you can bring it back by then I will refund you. I said Lady, you know you just delivered to our hotel & we don’t have a vehicle, which is WHY we ordered DELIVERY, so you know we can’t make it but your guy just left so he can come get it & you can refund us something?? She refused!! Don’t WASTE your money! It’s GARBAGE and I’m telling the Manager & Employees to destroy their advertisements and don’t let them put their menu in thus hotel! GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS!? Is there a way to rate this a Triple Negative Zero???
So ever since I moved to dc I’ve tried out many Chinese spots and this actually used to be one of my favorite ones, ate it a dozen times. Like any place it had its moments but was overall decent/good despite other people maybe being wary. But this last time while I was eating fried rice and I saw something silver in my food-a staple. It was deep in my fried rice and very grateful that I didn’t swallow it. Then when I tried to get my money back they were rude, didn’t care about the staple, and I didn’t get my money back. I’m very very disappointed by this because I actually liked this place but a staple in my food was definitely the crossing line. I would have maybe returned had they handled the situation better but highly recommend not coming here. The only thing I can do is leave a review and hope others can learn from my experience.
I order take out from here all the time and it's so good! In particular, I love their General Tso Chicken, crab rangoons, and the shrimp lo mein. Their prices are reasonable and they deliver quickly. I will continue to be a regular patron.
Yueng Fong delivered on the late night Chinese carryout experience. No nonsense, fast, and the food tasted great—we got the General Tso’s chicken and it was high quality chicken meat, breaded crispy with not too much breading.
I've had more than my fair share of Chinese takeout over the years. This may have been the best I had. Mambo sauce wasn't even needed. Shrimp fried rice was flavorful and portion was great. Wings were really good too.
