About Yao Fuzi Cuisine
Yao Fuzi Cuisine is a Chinese restaurant located at 4757 W Park Blvd #108, Plano, TX 75093, USA. They can be contacted at (214) 473-9267 or +1 214-473-9267. Customer reviews present a dichotomy of experiences at this establishment.
One first-time visitor expressed great satisfaction, stating they "loved it." They found the atmosphere "awesome" with "dimmed lights, fish tank, authentic decoration." They ordered jellyfish and duck as food, along with a Copper Rose cocktail, and found everything except the cocktail to be "spot on." The jellyfish was described as "crunchy, juicy and had a vibrant taste," and the duck as "extremely juicy," being the first time they truly enjoyed it. While noting that "The prices here are on the higher end," they felt this was acceptable for the "food quality" and suitable for a "special occasion."
However, another first-time visitor had a very negative experience, primarily due to the service. They were seated quickly by a nice hostess but found their server to be "very short and abrupt," frequently interrupting to take their order before they had looked at the menu. The server was "very impatient" even after being told it was their first visit. When attempting to order Za Jiang noodles without pork, they were told it was pre-mixed in the sauce and were not offered alternatives. They were also informed that a large bowl of egg drop soup was not available, only small or medium sizes that come with a meal. The shrimp fried rice ordered by their companion was described as "bland" with only "4 shrimp and lots of peas and carrots," while the crab fried rice was "decent." They felt the initial server and a subsequent female server were "very snobbish," "very unfriendly and unwelcome," leading to a poor dining experience and a decision not to return. They did note a nice male server who provided hot sauce and that the hot oil was very hot. The only positive interaction with the initial female server was her boxing up the leftovers without any pleasantries.
Based on these reviews, Yao Fuzi Cuisine in Plano, TX, offers a visually appealing environment and some high-quality dishes like the jellyfish and duck, albeit at a higher price point, potentially suitable for special occasions. However, there are significant concerns raised about the service, with at least one first-time visitor experiencing impatient, unaccommodating, and unfriendly treatment from the female wait staff. This inconsistency in service could greatly impact the overall dining experience. Local users considering Yao Fuzi Cuisine should weigh the potential for a pleasant ambiance and good food against the risk of receiving poor service.
The environment is described as having an awesome atmosphere with dimmed lights, a fish tank, and authentic decoration. Services include table service, but experiences vary significantly from excellent to very poor, with complaints of impatience, abruptness, and snobbishness from some staff. Key features include potentially high-quality dishes like jellyfish and duck, and a visually appealing ambiance. Drawbacks include higher-end pricing and reported issues with unfriendly and unaccommodating service. No promotional information is available.

I visited this place for the first time and loved it. The atmosphere inside is awesome - dimmed lights, fish tank, authentic decoration. I ordered jellyfish and duck as a food and a Copper Rose cocktail. Everything was spot on. Jellyfish was crunchy, juicy and had a vibrant taste. The duck was extremely juicy, this was probably the first time I actually enjoyed a duck. The cocktail was just fine. The prices here are on the higher end, but considering the food quality, I think this is fine for a special occasion.
This was my very first visit to this establishment. PB has been here before several years ago and told me that it’s fancy and food was good. My hair was messy, bc it’s been raining and yucky and have been running errands since the morning. We were seated right away by a nice hostess lady. Our server(older Chinese woman with a short hair)was very short and abrupt kept coming back every few seconds to take our order when in fact I hadn’t had time to look over the menu. She was very impatient even after I told her this was my first time coming here. When we decided to order and I told her I wanted Za Jiang noodles, but didn’t want pork, she said pork was already in a sauce. I didnt even want to ask her if I could have it with different sauce with no meat, bc I knew she wasn’t even going to accommodate me. I told her PB wants a big bowl of egg drop soup and she said “we don’t do that!”. She said it’s small or medium and comes with a meal, so we got 2 medium and I gave him mine. We ordered shrimp and crab fried rice. My crab fried rice was decent, but PB’s shrimp fried rice was bland, 4 shrimp and lots of peas and carrots and he didn’t like it. He put soy sauce on his fried rice like the White guy from the movie, Joy Luck Club, but it still was bland. How do you mess up shrimp fried rice in this fancy, expensive Chinese eatery? The impatient lady didn’t serve us anymore and we got another one. She looked poisoned each time he asked for Coke. I got hot sauce from a nice male server and the hot oil was very hot! The only nice thing the female server did was to put my food in a container. No smile, nothing. I felt that those 2 female servers were very snobbish towards us from the beginning and I don’t appreciate to be treated in a such way, especially this is a so-called high end Chinese restaurant. I find their behavior to be very unprofessional and unpleasant. They were very unfriendly and unwelcome and I really didn’t enjoy the dining experience because of them. Besides that, I’m glad I got to experience how they treated us with snobbery, so we know not to return. We will continue to go to Zhang’s Asian Bistro Kitchen where we’re welcome, staff/owner are nice and food is excellent.
I finally got a chance to check out this place. The food was excellent, but it was missing seasoning. The ambiance was very romantic for a Chinese place. Definitely date night vibes.
Ok so there are a million restaurants in Dallas, right? A good chunk of those are Asian restaurants too, right? WELL, if you haven’t been to Yao Fuzi and at minimum tried the soup dumplings stop what you’re doing right now, get in the car, and get yourself there. These things are literally injected with a magical soup broth that seems like a Wonton soup made in reverse order. You have to pop the entire dumpling in your mouth and the minute you pierce into it with your teeth the explosion of flavor leaves you with only two questions. Where is the next dumpling and did we order enough? Our table got three orders and I’m still not certain if that was enough! The rest of the meal was absolutely dynamite which included the Crushed Red Pepper Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Fuzi Prawns, and a Salmon Fried Rice. Literally, every dish was perfect! I got to try them all except for the Prawns (my no longer friend was not willing to share haha). It was and still is extremely hard to decide which dish was the best. They were all THAT good! What are you waiting for? Get to Yao Fuzi!!
First time to try this place for lunch. I ordered the mapo tofu and the Za jiang Mian noodles (reminded me of Korean black bean noodles). The Mapo Tofu was very good! My two dishes were not lunch optional. My friends had the lunch special jalapeno chicken, Singapore noodles, sesame chicken, and Gen Yao's chicken. Everyone enjoyed their food. I don't mind coming back to try some of their other dishes.
