About Xin Xin
Xin Xin, a Chinese restaurant located at 6930 Brooklyn Blvd #10, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429, USA, offers Chinese cuisine, primarily for take-out as suggested by customer interactions. You can reach them by phone at (763) 560-2233 or via mobile at +1 763-560-2233. Customer feedback for Xin Xin presents a stark contrast between the quality and quantity of its food and significant concerns regarding customer service and handling of dietary restrictions.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the primary mode of interaction with Xin Xin appears to be through take-out. One customer explicitly mentions ordering food for "Chinese take out for Christmas" and going "to pick up food on lunch," which strongly suggests that the restaurant operates largely, if not exclusively, as a take-out establishment. Details regarding a dine-in environment, such as seating, decor, or ambiance, are entirely absent from the feedback. This implies that the physical space accessible to customers might be limited to a counter area for ordering and pickup, typical of many local Chinese take-out restaurants. For patrons, the environment would primarily be their own home or chosen eating spot. The lack of commentary on the interior could mean it's functional and clean, but without any distinguishing features that would prompt a mention, or simply that customers spend very little time inside the premises, focusing solely on the efficiency of their order pickup.
The service at Xin Xin presents a polarizing experience for customers. On one hand, the restaurant is capable of processing orders for pick-up, as evidenced by a customer successfully collecting their Christmas order. However, a significant and concerning review details a highly negative interaction regarding customer service, particularly concerning food allergies. This customer described the "receptionist" as "rude and very impatient" during their first and only order. A crucial issue arose when inquiring about eggs in fried rice due to severe allergies. The "Manager" allegedly yelled "NO WE DON’T" and rushed the customer, despite repeated insistence on the critical nature of the allergy. The subsequent discovery of finely chopped eggs in the food, leading to an allergic reaction, and the restaurant's refusal to acknowledge the mistake or apologize, even calling the customer a "liar," paints a very poor picture of their allergy awareness and customer conflict resolution. The refusal to provide a name and the dismissive attitude regarding a serious health concern are significant red flags. This starkly contrasts with the expectation of polite and accommodating service, especially when dealing with health-related queries. This particular incident suggests that while the restaurant might handle routine orders, it falls severely short in critical customer care and accountability, particularly for patrons with dietary restrictions.
Despite the severe service issues highlighted by one customer, another review positively praises the food quality and quantity at Xin Xin. This customer stated, "The food is delicious. This was my second time and I definitely I am coming back again to get food." This indicates that, from a culinary perspective, the restaurant is capable of producing appealing dishes. A notable feature is the generous portion sizes, as the reviewer mentioned, "the prices are good because they serve you ton of food, compare to others restaurants." This suggests that Xin Xin offers significant value for money in terms of food quantity. While specific dishes beyond "fried rice" (which was the subject of the allergy incident) are not mentioned, the general sentiment about the food being "delicious" implies that common Chinese take-out staples are well-prepared and satisfying. The value proposition of large portions at a good price is a strong draw for many customers seeking economical and filling meals. However, the critical caveat remains for individuals with food allergies, given the reported incident with the fried rice containing eggs despite assurances to the contrary.
Based on the available information, Xin Xin's primary value proposition appears to be rooted in its affordability and generous portion sizes. The comment about "good prices because they serve you ton of food" suggests that the restaurant appeals to customers looking for a cost-effective meal that provides substantial quantities of food. While specific promotional offers are not detailed, the very nature of large portions at competitive prices acts as its own form of promotion, attracting customers seeking value for their money. For those without dietary restrictions or specific customer service expectations, the "delicious" food at "good prices" might be sufficient reason for repeat business. However, it is crucial to note that any perceived value regarding price and quantity is significantly overshadowed by the severe customer service failure and potential health risks highlighted by the allergy incident. For the general customer, the restaurant might present itself as a budget-friendly option for Chinese take-out. However, for anyone with allergies, the lack of reliable information and accountability regarding ingredients makes it a potentially hazardous choice, regardless of price or portion size. Therefore, while the food and pricing might be attractive to some, the paramount importance of safety and respectful customer interaction is a critical consideration for any potential patron.

Ordered food for myself and children as they wanted Chinese take out for Christmas. The receptionist was rude and very inpatient. This was my first time ordering (and last) I asked the “Manager” if they included eggs in their fried rice. She yelled “NO WE DON’T” I insisted on asking again and making her aware that myself and children are allergic to eggs. It is extremely important that there are no eggs in food. She assured me no while rushing me to complete my order. “If you still need time call back” as I am working remote today I went to pick up food on lunch. Long story short my daughter has hives everywhere because in fact there are eggs… chopped up fine. I called the restaurant about the problem only to be called a liar and that she can’t remember my order.. (even with my receipt and food purchase) she would not give her name over the phone as I stated I can not come back until I am off. Which is AFTER they close. I do not recommend this place, she did not apologize for the health scare, or mistake. Only had her pride in the way. Will also call the health department. If you have allergies do not eat here. Thank goodness it was a small bite and we didn’t need to rush to the hospital.
The food is delicious. This was my second time and I definitely I am coming back again to get food. Additionally the prices are good because they serve you ton of food, compare to others restaurants.
First time eating here we called in after looking at reviews of Chinese near me. The man on the phone had very broken English and you could barely understand him. I had ordered shrimp and snow peas with garlic sauce, and he did not expressed that it was spicy We also got beef, lo mein, shrimp, fried rice and shrimp with snow peas also veggie eggrolls that were really dry lacking filling, and flavor would not to get those again. I almost was gonna take back, the spicy snow peas but me and my fiancé loved it🥰 We just were kind of sad. We didn’t get to share it with the kids. So just know if you ever order garlic sauce from Here it’s spicy. My fiancé went inside to get the food. He said it was dark inside and he didn’t feel welcome. The service was mediocre but overall experience I’d give this place four stars because the food is delicious some of the best hood, Chinese food I’ve had in a while will definitely go back and get the spicy shrimp snow peas again, and shrimp fried rice. highly recommend if you can deal with attitude and broken English.
My go to place when im craving Chinese food. I been coming here since they opened and still take a drive to get food when i moved out the area. Good portions and tasty food. I always get the sesame chicken, spicy chicken, and the fried chicken wings are super good!
Such a great buy for $8.25 or $8.50. Two entrees and rice when you choose the Express To Go. I chose Orange Chicken and Beef with Mushrooms. It will take 2-3 meals to finish all this food. They do accept Visa and another credit card and there is a surcharge.
