Xin Wei Kitchen

Just walking in and I knew it was gonna be good. They don't waste money on decor. The staff were friendly and the food seemed authentic. Definitely different than most American knock offs. We got 3 dishes: The stir fry ramen was good. Perfect lunch fair and great for little mouths. The squid had great flavor and was pleasantly spicy. The tofu was very spicy but was missing something. Not sure what but seemed lacking. I appreciated my ice water but the husband got the walovi. It was pleasant and herbal. All of these dishes are easily shareable so a great place for a lunch date.

Asked for a recommendation for some pork belly… guy serving us said he liked the black bean egg pork belly dish in the pics here… absolutely delicious! And their hot chili oil is fire.

First time eating there. The restaurant layout was a bit bizarre, but they made it work to get more tables set up. The food didn't take too long. It was honestly some of the best Chinese food we've had in a long time!! The pricing was very competitive. Just note that if you want the lunch size portion, you need to tell them. Otherwise, they assume you want the dinner size. We will happily eat there again:)

Very understated place with delicious food!! Mapo tofu was spicy (as expected) and savory, tofu itself was creamy and melted in the mouth. Stir fried pork was tender, slightly sweet with a wonderful smoky flavor. They didn't skimp on the garlic and spice and numbing peppers here, which I'm glad for! Place is small and pretty mundane in its decor, but that's perfectly fine. Service was polite. My tongue hurts (in a good way!)

Really great Asian cuisine. The place is extremely small, and it can take a while to get your order, and the atmosphere is very spartan, but the food is worth wait. I especially enjoy their Thai entrees.
