The food was very good and better than other places from the same cuisine we’ve tried in Edison or Flushing. Broth is home style and the price is ok- priced for Princeton area. The staff is very nice and checks in- especially if you start to cough they appear with a pitcher of water. The knife cut noodles have great bounce and the braised beef broth is light but the meat is richly flavored. The lamb soup is clear and delicious with deep lamb flavor and goes perfectly with the glass noodles. Definitely great for a cold day. The pork dumplings are suprisingly juicy. The cold wood ear might be slightly undercooked but in a crisp way that I like- good strong garlic flavor.

If you're a fan of Northwestern Chinese cuisine, this place is a must-visit! The highlight for me was definitely the Roujiamo (Chinese-style burger) – absolutely delicious! The flavors are rich and authentic, and the meat is tender and juicy. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to try something unique and flavorful. Will definitely be coming back!

Coming from a Chinese, the food reminded me of home and I really, really enjoyed my experience! The texture of the hand-pulled noodles was amazing, definitely freshly pulled!! The staff are amazingly friendly and kind, and the service was super quick, we got our food within 15 minutes of ordering!!Definitely recommend, and I’ll be back often😋

I had an incredible dining experience at XiBei! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. Unlike many other Chinese restaurants where I often find dishes overloaded with MSG, leaving me feeling excessively thirsty afterward, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t experience that here. The ingredients tasted high-quality, the flavors were well-balanced, and the seasoning was just right. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Chinese food. I will definitely be returning!
