About Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine - Plano Independence

Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine - Plano Independence is a Chinese restaurant located at 1505 N Central Expy, Plano, TX 75075, USA. They can be contacted at (469) 626-0058 or +1 469-626-0058.

One customer found the "preserved egg and tofu" to be "light and refreshing," although they felt "The sauce was missing a little tang for me." They highly praised the "pork soup dumplings" as "mad fresh," noting they were "soupy and the skin was thin." The "golden garlic beef" was also rated as "very good." Regarding the "pork chop on the pork chop rice," they found it "tender but not crispy like what I’m use to," but still "very good with a 5 spice flavor." This reviewer concluded that "Everything was good and I’ll be back."

Another customer who enjoyed a "fun get together with friends" found "The food was tastey" and "The drinks were good." However, they pointed out that "Their menu doesn't label gluten free food, and they don't cater to special diets," advising, "I don't recommend eating here unless you research ahead of time." They also noted that "All the drinks are $10 with no happy hour." On a positive note, they mentioned finding "a manager who was able to help me navigate the items without wheat."

Based on these reviews, Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine - Plano Independence offers tasty Chinese food with some standout dishes like the pork soup dumplings and golden garlic beef. The preserved egg and tofu is light and refreshing, though the sauce might lack tang for some. While the pork chop rice is good, it may not be crispy. The restaurant's menu does not label gluten-free options and they generally do not cater to special diets, so prior research is recommended for those with dietary restrictions. All drinks are priced at $10, and there is no happy hour. However, management appears willing to assist with navigating the menu for specific dietary needs, such as wheat-free options. The environment seems conducive to gatherings with friends. Local users looking for tasty Chinese cuisine, particularly the soup dumplings and golden garlic beef, should be aware of the lack of special diet accommodations on the menu and the drink prices.

The environment is described as suitable for fun get-togethers with friends. Services include dine-in. Key features include "mad fresh" pork soup dumplings, very good golden garlic beef, and a tender (though not crispy) pork chop rice with 5 spice flavor. A potential drawback is the lack of gluten-free labels on the menu and a general lack of catering to special diets, as well as all drinks being priced at $10 with no happy hour. Management is noted as being able to help with some dietary restrictions. No specific promotional information is available.

We enjoyed a fun get together with friends. The food was tastey. The drinks were good. Their menu doesn't label gluten free food, and they don't cater to special diets. I don't recommend eating here unless you research ahead of time. All the drinks are $10 with no happy hour. I found a manager who was able to help me navigate the items without wheat.

The beef noodle soup has always been a favorite of mine since I started coming eight years ago. Wu Wei Din consistently serves excellent Taiwanese dishes, and while the flavors are definitely enjoyable, they don’t always feel the most authentic compared to other spots around. Still, it’s a solid go-to for a satisfying meal.

My wife was raised in Taiwan. We eat Chinese/Taiwanese food occasionally both at home and when we go out. Needless to say, we know our way around Chinese/Taiwanese food. Wu Wei Din is as good as it gets in the area. We'd previously gone to the Asian strip mall off of Greenville Ave. for Chinese food. Wu Wei Din is every bit as good as anything we could get there. The place is very clean and contemporary, and the service is almost over the top good. I like the menu itself because it's extensive, but not so extensive I couldn't figure out which page to be on, as is the problem in many Asian restaurants. It has a clearly delineated American/Asian section on the menu, yet it retains the heritage of the more traditional Taiwanese dishes if that's your preference. Some of the more traditional menu choices are of the order, as my wife put it, "my grandparents would order that". I usually don't write a review on the first visit; anyone can serve a good meal one time. So, we've been here twice and both times were great. This time we started with a cucumber salad (not pictured...ate too much before I remembered to pull out the phone), scallion pancake, flat noodle combo (this is actually shaved noodle combo for those familiar), and Mongolian shrimp. The portions are large, and everything was served family style, which is tradition. All dishes were excellent, and we'd return and reorder any of them. The location is super convenient and definitely worth trying out if you like Chinese/Taiwanese food.

I ordered beef broccoli, broccoli was good but beef wasn’t. Moreover, we were a group of four, they didn’t serve our orders at the same time. My friend started her food when I just finished mine. The only good point was the set of diverse Asian beers in their menu.
