Wu's Wonton King

Stopped by this spot in Chinatown for a quick bite and left pretty satisfied overall. I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce and a pot of their house jasmine tea. The shrimp dish was flavorful, with just the right amount of heat and a generous portion of shrimp. The garlic sauce was rich without being overpowering—definitely a solid 4 out of 5 on the food. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and my order came out surprisingly fast. Again, a strong 4 out of 5 stars for service. The only real drawback was the atmosphere. It felt a bit cramped and could use some updating—the decor is minimal and the lighting was harsh, which took away from the overall experience. I’d give the ambiance a 2 out of 5. All in all, if you’re in the area and want some tasty shrimp with no-frills, this place is worth a visit. Just don’t expect much in terms of vibes.

Went there with a group of 6 that included 2 toddlers and newborn. Table was more than spacious enough for us. Food was fantastic. Duck bao was flavorful. Mushroom yee mein was also flavorful and a fantastic chewy bounce. The Walnut shrimp was seasoned differently than I’ve had at other locations, making it unique. Shrimp were massive. Beers were refreshing. Will be returning soon!

Relatively spacious but busy Chinese spot in Chinatown. They have shared table seating both inside and outside. I ordered the fish fillet and tofu casserole and it was quite good, especially the broth. Service was good but since they were quite busy, I'm assuming it's a popular spot in the area. Great experience overall.

Hands-down one of the best no-frills Cantonese spots I’ve ever visited! The staff was super friendly and offered great recommendations, and the dining vibe is bustling and welcoming. The food was fantastic: the BBQ platter had perfectly seasoned & tender meat, the wonton soup featured bouncy & flavorful shrimp filling, and the razor clam with black bean sauce was incredibly fresh with a great chewy texture - the meal was truly comforting. I highly recommend coming with a group to enjoy a variety of dishes.

The roast pork and roast duck combo rice was a disaster. As you can see in the picture, there’s a pice of pork skin with SO MUCH HAIR on it. and a couple of big pieces of only pig fat, not edible. And the pork was cold…. when I asked the staff they said it’s normal, it’s supposed to be like this. I’ve had roast pork in so many different places and none of them would serve pork like this. Since they say it’s ’normal’ to serve cold pork with hair on top and 99% fat, don’t order this if you don’t like any of the things above.
