About Wu’s Kitchen

Wu’s Kitchen, located at 8250 FM78 #109 in Converse, Texas, is a Chinese restaurant platform primarily offering takeout services to the local community.

Environment: As a takeout-oriented establishment, the environment likely consists of a service counter for placing and picking up orders, along with a kitchen for food preparation. Specific details about the dine-in ambiance are not available from the provided reviews.

Services: Wu’s Kitchen focuses on takeout service. Customers can place orders by calling (210) 994-8255 or +1 210-994-8255. One customer highlighted the excellent customer service and short wait times for to-go orders. They also praised the careful and professional bagging of their order, which included cardboard separators to keep food level.

Features: Wu’s Kitchen offers a variety of Chinese dishes. Positive feedback includes the generous portion sizes of entrees, rice, and soups, which were filled to the top. The shrimp fried rice was noted for having a subtle sweet onion taste that was enjoyable. The sweet and sour chicken was described as well-fried with a sauce that wasn't too sweet, and it was well-received by children. The egg rolls were flavorful, not greasy, and had crisp cabbage. Both the wonton and hot and sour soups were reported as delicious, with the wonton soup being particularly helpful for someone feeling unwell. The spicy chicken was also noted for its flavor. The sesame chicken comes highly recommended.

Potential Considerations: Some customers have reported negative experiences with certain dishes. The Mongolian beef was criticized for containing a large amount of onion and lacking flavor, not being considered worth the price. The rice was described as bland and lacking flavor. Additionally, the crab Rangoon were noted to be very small. Overall, one customer rated their experience as a 3 out of 5, indicating it was neither the best nor the worst.

For local users in Converse seeking Chinese takeout, Wu’s Kitchen offers generous portions and has received praise for its customer service and careful packaging. While some dishes like the soups, spicy chicken, and sesame chicken have been well-received, there are concerns about the flavor and vegetable content of the Mongolian beef, the blandness of the rice, and the size of the crab Rangoon.

Did the old pick up and eat at home thing. As fast food generally is. Spent about 48$. Not bad, considering I got 2 large entrees, 2 large soups, and 4 egg rolls. Entrees, rice, and soups were filled to the tops. Taste wise, the shrimp fried rice had a sweet onion taste to it. It's not overpowering. I enjoyed it. The sweet and sour chicken. Well fried, not overly battered, and the sauce was not too sweet, just right. Kids ate it all up. Eggs rolls had plenty of flavor. It was not greasy, and the cabbage was crisp. Soups were wanton and egg drop. My wife was feeling sickly, but the wonton gave her some pep. Wonton wasn't soggy, and the broth was light. Egg drop didn't need salt or pepper. I wish it had more egg chucks, but that's just my preference. Finally, the bagging. Let me just say this was bagged like a pro. I have never had a fast food chain bag with such care. It had cardboard to separate sections of food to keep the order leved. Literally slapped a seat belt on it like a child. PERFECT. Moved to the area, and this will be my families go-to for chinese takeout. Pictures are not the prettiest, but I did advertise a family takeout review.

Some Pros and Cons.... Cons. 1. The Mongolian Beef had a ton of onion (pictures provided) and lacked flavor. Not worth what you pay. 2. Rice is bland and lacked flavor. 3. The crab Rangoon are very small. Pros. 1. The customer service was excellent, & wait time was short for ToGo. 2. Soup was delicious (We had Wonton & Hot/Sour. 3. Spicy chicken was very flavorful, but TONS of onion. 4. Highly recommend sesame chicken. Over all I would give it a 3. Not the BEST or WORST.

Food is sub par but not inedible. The really disappointing part is ordering the spicy chicken combo and getting a bowl full of onions and peppers with tiny pieces of chicken every now and then. Not worth $17.

The staff wasn’t friendly. No smile, no welcomes, nothing but “what do you want to order” This place was pretty pricey. We got 2 meats, side and eggroll plate for $15, I got the single meat plate for $8.50 and a small Lo Mein with small Egg Drop soup so $40 and it was not good. Like I am crying for my money and my hunger. Definitely a waste of money. The Fried Rice looks like white rice just with a bunch of onions and stringy things (there so many after digging them out for 5 minutes, we still couldn’t eat the rice) Vegetable Lo Mein had way to sauce so they were to strong. Babe got lemon chicken and orange chicken and they were awful. Both were extremely soggy. Everything was awful so I’m not even bothering with the soup. My dogs will eat like kings but sucks to spent so much and still be hungry. Food was quick and hot but definitely not worth it
