Situated at Terminal 5, Concourse M Gate M10, Wow Bao offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu that showcases traditional and modern Asian flavors, perfect for those looking to satisfy their taste buds during layovers or while en route.
The restaurant is known for its delicious bao (steamed buns), which are the signature dishes here. One of the standout features of Wow Bao is its convenient location within the airport. Travelers can easily find this restaurant while navigating through Terminal 5, making it a perfect spot to grab a quick bite or take some food on the go. Customer feedback on Wow Bao has been mixed, but many diners praise the delicious food and convenient location. Many travelers appreciate the ability to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine while in transit, with several highlighting the portion sizes as being just right for a quick meal. Others have noted that the bao are particularly well-made, with flavors that stand out compared to other airport dining options.
However, some customers have expressed concerns about the pricing and portion sizes. A few reviews mention that while the food is tasty, it can be overpriced for what you receive, particularly in terms of the size of the bao. Additionally, there have been isolated reports of menu items not being available or being misrepresented, such as a customer who ordered teriyaki chicken but received only onions and sauce instead.
Despite these occasional issues, Wow Bao remains a popular choice for travelers looking to experience Chinese cuisine during their time at O'Hare International Airport. Its strategic location, diverse menu options, and focus on authentic flavors make it a standout dining option in the airport's Terminal 5.

Customer Reviews
I’ve never had such an overpriced meal. I paid $20 for what? The size of the bowl was so small—like a kid’s size! An adult can’t get full from such a portion. Delicious, but very, very small.
I ordered teriyaki chicken and got this (see attached photo). There was no chicken—just onions and teriyaki sauce. The store sign shows it opens at 10:00, but the counter didn’t open until 10:30. Do not order from here.
The food is good considering in the airport food court. We are excited to see wow bao available. Bao and rice bowl are good enough that we finish them all.
This rice is mush and there's like no chicken in the "teriyaki chicken" it's just gravy. I let the steam and look get the best of me. At least it was fast but my lord for 20 dollars this is terrible.
Kung Pao chicken bowl was a pile of slop, slimy and there was barely any chicken. They have it in individually packaged sealed bags that they heat and squeeze onto the rice. Dumplings were fine. Do not recommend at all, get a hotdog.
