About World Seafood Restaurant
Welcome to World Seafood Restaurant, a distinguished Chinese restaurant nestled in the heart of Alhambra, California, conveniently located at 1412 S Garfield Ave, CA 91801, USA. As a prominent establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, World Seafood Restaurant offers a comprehensive dining experience, catering to a diverse range of needs and preferences within the local community. With a commitment to providing quality food and exceptional service, this restaurant has become a notable venue for both casual dining and special occasions.
The ambiance of World Seafood Restaurant is described as lively and bustling, reflecting the vibrant atmosphere often found in popular Chinese eateries. While some reviews mention a high level of ambient noise due to the lively chatter, this contributes to a dynamic and authentic dining environment. The interior design, while functional, focuses on creating a space suitable for large gatherings and celebrations. Notably, the use of plastic overlays on the tables, while unconventional, presents a clean and easily maintainable dining surface.
World Seafood Restaurant excels in providing a range of services tailored to different dining preferences and occasions. A significant highlight is its suitability for large family events, birthday parties, and other significant celebrations. The availability of private dining rooms offers a more intimate setting for smaller groups or special gatherings, allowing for a more focused and personal dining experience. Furthermore, the unique addition of a karaoke room provides an extra layer of entertainment, making it an ideal choice for those looking to combine dining with recreational activities. For larger events, the restaurant can even accommodate a floor stage upon request, indicating its capacity to host more elaborate celebrations and performances.
The culinary offerings at World Seafood Restaurant are diverse, with a particular emphasis on Cantonese-style cuisine. The restaurant is renowned for its dim sum service, available during the morning and noon hours. Customer reviews highlight a variety of dim sum dishes, including the Shrimp and Pork Shiu Mai, noted for its generous size and a unique pork floss topping instead of the traditional roe. The Chu Zhou Fun Gor, while described as smaller in size, is praised for its flavorful and seasoned vegetable filling. The Crispy Eggrolls are mentioned for their petite size, appealing presentation, and fresh, hot filling. The Deep-fried dumpling with mochi offers a delightful combination of a crispy exterior and a sticky, chewy interior. Lastly, the egg custard tarts, though small, are recognized for their rich and concentrated egg custard filling.
Beyond dim sum, World Seafood Restaurant also features a robust dinner menu. The Beef Chow Fun receives high praise for its generous portion of beef and well-seasoned noodles, standing out as a recommended dish. While the provided reviews primarily focus on the dim sum offerings, the mention of "family dinner at night" suggests a broader selection of Cantonese dishes suitable for evening meals, likely including fresh seafood preparations given the restaurant's name, "World Seafood Restaurant." Patrons can anticipate a range of classic Cantonese dishes, potentially featuring a variety of cooking styles applied to fresh seafood, meats, and vegetables.
In terms of pricing, the reviews suggest that World Seafood Restaurant falls into a middling price range. While some customers felt that there might be "greater options for dim sum, especially with their middling price," the overall sentiment indicates that the quality of the food is generally good, particularly the Beef Chow Fun and certain dim sum items. The value proposition likely lies in the combination of food quality, the availability of private rooms and karaoke, and the restaurant's capacity to host large events.
Regarding practical considerations, the restaurant provides convenient contact options with a phone number of (626) 282-3888 and a mobile phone number of +1 626-282-3888. These numbers can be used for reservations, inquiries about the menu, or to discuss arrangements for special events. However, one notable challenge mentioned in the reviews is the limited and tight parking situation in both parking areas. Customers planning to drive to the restaurant should be aware of potential difficulties in finding parking, especially during peak hours.
In summary, World Seafood Restaurant in Alhambra stands as a versatile Chinese dining establishment. It offers a diverse menu that includes a popular dim sum selection and a likely extensive dinner menu featuring seafood and other Cantonese specialties. Its unique features, such as private dining rooms and a karaoke room, along with its ability to accommodate large events with options like a floor stage, make it a compelling choice for various occasions. While the ambiance is lively and parking can be challenging, the restaurant's commitment to good food and comprehensive services positions it as a noteworthy option within the local Chinese restaurant scene. For local users seeking a venue for family gatherings, special celebrations, or simply a satisfying Chinese meal with the option of entertainment, World Seafood Restaurant is certainly worth considering.

Customer Reviews
Great restaurant for a big family event, birthday party, etc. It also has rooms for private dining and a room with koreoke. The food is really good. If you plan to have a party here, you can also request a floor stage. Dim sum in the morning noon, family dinner at night.
Ordered Shrimp and Pork Shiu Mai, Chu Zhou Fun Gor, Crispy Eggroll, Deep fried dumpling with mochi, egg custard tart, and Beef Chow Fun. The Shrimp and Pork Shiu Mai were a nice size and a different topping that might be pork floss instead of the usual roe that is on top of the shiu mai. The Chu Zhou Fun Gor were on the smaller side in terms of size, still quite flavorful with a slightly different mix of more seasoned vegetables inside. The Crispy Eggroll were petite, decorated nicely and still very hot and fresh inside. The Deep fried dumpling with mochi was served hot and had a nice sticky exterior to crunch into. The egg custard tarts were on the smaller side too but the egg part of the tart seemed to be more egg custard concentrated than other places. And the Beef Chow Fun was probably the best dish to end with, generous slices of beef inside this well-seasoned noodle dish, a great pick out of all of this. Service was fast, foot traffic through lunch was not very busy, but the two parking area are very tight on space and availability. Interior ambiance is loud, lots of chatter going on so it’s easy to be drowned out by the voices around you. The tablecloths are more like table plastic, it’s some sort of plastic sheet that they overlay, looks nice but a little weird at first sight. Overall, there are other greater options for dimsum, especially with their middling price, this was fine but there was a lot of room for improvement.
I was born in Guangdong, China and lived there for 18 years. I can say this is really authentic dim sum, and I highly highly highly recommend this. The food portions are big and the price is also decently affordable. It's a must-go, guys.
They really need more parking space. That aside, the food was okay. We did our grandma's birthday here. We had the king crab. They cooked it in three different ways with different parts of the king crab. I thought that was awesome. However, the taste was just okay, nothing really special. The service was not bad. Lots of waiters walking around, busy even though the restaurant wasn't that packed. We had to get our own napkins from time to time. We had dim sum here as well. Dim sum was not bad. Most of their food don't taste that salty; However, we do get very thirsty afterwards. I think they used MSG, but not really sure. We did drinked lots of tea while eating, still got thirsty. On grandma's birthday, they did give us free birthday-buns fill with sweets. Their king crab was super expensive! Be sure to ask for the price before ordering it.
My friend has been telling me about the good dim sums of this restaurant. Finally we had a chance to come today for dine in Dim Sum. We used to come here quite often when we were living in Montery Park long time ago. We hadn’t been here for awhile. The restaurant had changed hands many times then. According to my friend, the dim sums are still very good here. The restaurant seemed to take all the covid safety measures for dine in. Tables were well spaced out and sanitizer was provided. After looking over the limited dim sum menu, we decided to try out their steam BBQ pork bun, sticky rice in lotus wrap, steam rice noodle with shrimp, siu mai, and shrimp dumpling. The verdict on the food: the dim sums were decent, tasty and fresh. All dim sums were steamed to order. The best dish for me was the Siu Mai. The pork was tender and bouncy. The flavor was fantastic. The steam BBQ pork was a bit dry. Over all, for less than $4, it’s a good value for the dim sum and the foods were above average. I would definitely come back to try their dinner as I saw a lot of promotion dea on the dinner menu。 Service was very friendly and efficient. We got our food in less than 5 minutes after ordering.
