About Woon
Woon, a Chinese restaurant located at 2920 W Temple St in Los Angeles, presents a modern take on Chinese cuisine in a casual setting. Be aware that Woon operates with a counter-service model where you place your order and pay before being seated. This is particularly important to note during busy periods when there might be a line or limited table availability.
The food at Woon has garnered high praise from customers. Standout dishes include the beef noodles, featuring tender steak and flavorful noodles. The wings are described as exceptionally fresh and crispy, and a touch of tableside chili oil is recommended to elevate their taste. The fried rice is also noted as a solid and satisfying option. However, the pork belly bao appears to be a menu highlight, with reviewers raving about the delicious combination of savory and tender pork belly complemented by pickled carrots and pickles, all served in a soft bao bun. One reviewer spent $61 before tip for these four recommended plates, suggesting reasonable pricing.
The restaurant offers a relaxed vibe with a pleasant outdoor patio, making it a suitable spot for various occasions, including casual gatherings and even date nights. For those who enjoy bringing their furry friends along, the patio is dog-friendly. Adding to the dining experience, Woon also offers a selection of organic wines to pair with your meal. The concept encourages sharing, as one group of five found it ideal for ordering multiple entrees and appetizers to sample a variety of dishes. While parking in the neighborhood can be a bit challenging, many agree that the quality of the food makes the effort worthwhile.
In summary, Woon offers a delicious and flavorful Chinese dining experience in a casual environment with an appealing outdoor space. Its standout dishes, reasonable prices, and organic wine selection make it a noteworthy spot in the Los Angeles culinary scene. Just remember the counter service and potential parking challenges when planning your visit.

Customer Reviews
To start off, you go to the counter to order and pay before you are seated if there is no tables or come in during rush hour just FYI. The food was amazing to start off with the beef noodles, the steak was tender, and the noodles were flavorful. The wings were some of the freshest and crispiest wings I’ve ever had, add some tableside chili oil to the wings… the fried rice was really solid…. The pork belly boa was by for the best item of the menu we had. The pickled carrots and pickles with the savory and tender pork belly went delicious with the soft bread. I totally recommend this for all four plates, I spent $61 before tip.
Our friend group supper club chose this spot on a Sunday night and weren’t disappointed. It’s a casual vibe with a nice outdoor patio. You order at the counter but don’t let the line of people deter you from stopping by, because the food comes out incredibly fast. I have to say, everything we tried was complex and savory. They also have organic wines to pair with your meal. Between the five of us, we were able to order multiple entrees and appetizers to share. The prices are very reasonable and it was great to try multiple dishes. I definitely recommend this spot for a date night or if you want to bring your dog because the patio had lots of furry friends. Parking can be tricky since it’s tucked into a neighborhood but worth circling to find a spot!
Woon is one of our favorite restaurants on our 4 day trip to LA! The flavors were 100% there, prices of the dishes are very affordable, and the atmosphere of the restaurants is really cute and small. The pork belly bao bun was absolutely juicy. The wings were so hot, crispy, and fresh! The veggie noodles had a great char- wok flavor, noodles were cooked perfectly! Everything was a 10/10! The mama's hot sauce was the best as well! Chefs kiss!
We enjoyed our dinner, it's great that vegan and regular dishes are here on the menu, both well prepared, tasty, fresh and delicious. I loved the veggie noodle and the vegan bao ice-cream sandwich!
Casual and fun spot for Chinese food with a twist! Great vibes, service and food ; love their pork belly buns, beef noodles and dumplings (only offered some days). Their special Woon sauce goes perfect with all their shareable dishes.
