About Wonton Hut Noodle Bar

Wonton Hut Noodle Bar, located at 3760 Hwy 7 #2a in Markham, Ontario, is a Chinese restaurant focusing on classic Cantonese noodle dishes. This is a small, straightforward establishment offering a limited menu centered around noodles in soup and lo-mein.

The restaurant's features include a selection of authentic Cantonese toppings such as shrimp wontons, fish balls, and braised beef brisket. Customers have noted the very tasty broth and the particularly soft and succulent beef brisket. The Cantonese dumplings are also a highlight.

The service experience seems to vary, with one review mentioning it was "a bit slow," while another experienced quick food delivery after ordering via a QR code at the table. The restaurant appears to be popular for take-out orders, suggesting efficiency in handling off-premise dining.

The environment is described as a "small no-frill" place, indicating a casual and unpretentious setting. It might not be the place for elaborate dining but rather for a quick and satisfying noodle meal.

Regarding the food, opinions are somewhat mixed. While the beef brisket noodle soup received a high rating for its tender and flavorful brisket, the wonton noodle soup was considered "nothing special" and a little salty by one reviewer. The texture of the egg noodles in the wonton soup was noted as good, even if the flavor wasn't exceptional. The hot milk tea was well-received, described as strong and tasty.

I've driven by this restaurant many times but had never tried until this weekend. We went after 1:30pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Got seated right away. We ordered via QR code on the table, and the food came quickly. We got the wonton noodle soup with egg noodles, beef brisket rice noodle soup, and hot milk tea. Wonton noodle soup - 3/5 - nothing special - they were a little on the salty side for my taste, and noodles weren't as flavourful as some others I've had but the texture was good. Beef brisket noodles - 4.5/5 - the brisket was very good. Tender and flavourful, and not too fatty. It needs a little more broth for the noodles. Milk tea - 4/5 - hot, strong, and tasty. No complaints

Got the classic wonton noodle dish. I found the broth to be very classic of wonton soup broth. Clean and simple. The shrimp wonton were a generous sizing. Service was quick and very attentive.

Ordered wonton noodles, noodles on top and wonton at the bottom. This is a professional setting as noodles won’t get soggy. Noodles are springy. Wonton filled with shrimp in thin wrapping with a chewy and smooth texture. Very delicious.

Both the noodles and wonton are super good. Lots of shrimps in the wonton. My only strange argument is I actually missed the old Hong Kong style of wonton which was much smaller.
