About Wong's Wok
Welcome to Wong's Wok, a Chinese restaurant conveniently situated within Tanger Outlets at 2200 Tanger Blvd Suite 320 in Washington, Pennsylvania (zip code 15301). As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Wong's Wok aims to provide shoppers and local residents with a variety of Chinese culinary options. Based on the limited customer reviews available online, we can observe a significant divergence in customer experiences, particularly concerning food quality, while service seems to be a more consistent positive aspect.
One customer review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the food purchased from Wong's Wok. This reviewer described it as "the worst Chinese food I’ve ever bought," using strong negative descriptors such as "old, rubbery, taste like plastic." They specifically criticized the General Tso's chicken for lacking any spice and tasting old. Furthermore, they noted the absence of seasoning or vegetables in the fried rice and found the dumplings to be overcooked and mealy. This highly negative experience led the reviewer to discard $34 worth of food, deeming it inedible. They also questioned the awareness of the owners of a Wong's Wok location in Morgantown regarding the poor food quality at the Tanger Outlets location. Despite the severe criticism of the food, this reviewer did acknowledge that the service was friendly.
In stark contrast, another customer reported a positive and recurring experience at Wong's Wok, visiting several times a year while shopping at Tanger Outlets. This reviewer consistently praised the employees for being "always so nice." A specific highlight for this customer is the crab rangoons, which they noted are made fresh and promptly brought to their table, typically within two minutes of being ready. This suggests a commitment to serving this particular item fresh and hot. This reviewer also found the food to be "always hot and fresh" in general and specifically mentioned that the General Tso's chicken was not excessively breaded. Based on these positive experiences, this customer indicated their intention to continue patronizing Wong's Wok.
Given the location within Tanger Outlets, the environment of Wong's Wok is likely geared towards providing a convenient dining option for shoppers. Restaurants in outlet malls often feature a casual and bustling atmosphere with a focus on quick service. Seating may be within the restaurant's designated area or potentially in a shared food court space, depending on the specific layout of Tanger Outlets in Washington, PA. The positive reviewer's mention of employees bringing fresh crab rangoons to their table suggests that there is some level of table service, at least for certain items. However, the contrasting negative review does not provide any insights into the physical environment of the restaurant.
Regarding services, Wong's Wok clearly offers takeout, as indicated by the first reviewer's experience of buying food. The second reviewer's mention of food being carried out to their table implies that dine-in service is also available. The positive feedback about the friendly employees suggests a customer-oriented approach to service, even if the food quality is perceived differently by some. The specific mention of freshly made crab rangoons delivered to the table highlights a potentially unique service feature for this particular appetizer. It is not mentioned whether Wong's Wok offers delivery services or online ordering platforms.
In terms of features, the freshly made crab rangoons appear to be a significant positive feature, as praised by a repeat customer. The friendly service provided by the employees is another consistently positive aspect highlighted in the reviews. However, the severely negative review points to significant issues with food quality, including the freshness, taste, and preparation of items like General Tso's chicken, fried rice, and dumplings. The fact that one customer found the General Tso's to lack spice could be a feature (or lack thereof) depending on individual preferences. The contrasting opinions on the General Tso's (fresh and not overly breaded vs. old and lacking spice) further illustrate the inconsistency in food quality reported.
Currently, there is no information available regarding specific promotional offers, discounts, or special menu items at Wong's Wok based on the provided customer reviews. Neither reviewer mentioned any ongoing promotions or deals. Customers interested in learning about any potential specials or discounts would need to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers or check for any visible signage at their location within Tanger Outlets.
In conclusion, Wong's Wok in Washington, PA, located within Tanger Outlets, presents a mixed profile based on the limited recent customer feedback. While the service is consistently described as friendly, there is a stark contrast in the perception of food quality. One customer experienced severely underprepared and unappetizing dishes, leading to a complete waste of their purchase. Conversely, another repeat customer praised the freshness and taste of the food, particularly highlighting the freshly made crab rangoons and the preparation of the General Tso's chicken. The environment is likely that of a casual restaurant within a shopping mall, offering both dine-in and takeout services. A notable feature seems to be the freshly prepared crab rangoons brought to the table. However, potential customers should be aware of the significant discrepancy in food quality experiences reported by different individuals. It may be prudent to inquire about the freshness and preparation of specific dishes when ordering. For information on any current promotions, direct contact with Wong's Wok is recommended.

Customer Reviews
The worst Chinese food I’ve ever bought. Old, rubbery, taste like plastic. General Tsos has zero spice and so old. No seasoning or vegetables in the fried rice. Dumplings were over cooked and mealy. Do the owners of the Wongs Wok in Morgantown realize how bad the food is at Tanger location!?! Service was friendly and all but this foods awful. I literally threw $34 of food away cause it was so bad.
I come here several times a year when shopping. The employees are always so nice. They make the crab rangoons fresh and carry them out to the table when they're done in about 2 minutes. The food is always hot and fresh. The general Tsos chicken isn't all breading either. I will keep coming here!
Get a two for clean place and friendly staff... Ordered at 7:00 on a Monday night, General Tao Chicken with Lo Mein... Chicken was fresh but flavorless warm, not hot. The Lo Mein was in small pieces, would not stay on fork, was dry to the point of hard (some if it)... I didn't even eat it. Sorry to be the dissenting voice, but it was outright bad. I try not to slam a place, I mean they were nice people and clean... But the food, at least in my case was awful.
This is the best Chinese I have ever had in my life!! When they were at the mall in Washington PA where I live, I got it all the time but now that they are in Tanger and I don't have a car I don't get there at all I only got to go once over the years since they opened there! No Chinese restaurant compares to Wong's Wok that I have ever had. They have the best General Tsos chicken!! It is not spicy at all it is so sweet and the rice is the best Chinese rice. iI wish they were still closer to me but for my birthday in September, I definitely want to go here. I hope someday they are on a delivery app and will deliver to Washington! 😋
This place is expensive, let's start with the Lomein, there's no vegetables in it and the noodles are just plain and the fried rice is just regular rice. This isn't the Chinese food that I'm used to. The food does not taste great at all. I do not recommend eating here!
