About Wong's Restaurant

Wong's Restaurant is a Chinese Restaurant located at 835 Anchorage Rd, Warsaw, IN 46580, USA. This establishment offers both a la carte dining and a lunch buffet.

Customer reviews present a mixed perspective on Wong's Restaurant. One reviewer noted that the atmosphere "has a lot to be desired" and found some dishes to be unsatisfactory, including burnt and tasteless General Tso's chicken, Singapore noodles with an overpowering cumin flavor, and hard, unfilled fried wontons. However, this reviewer did praise the Crab Rangoon as "amazing" and the egg drop soup as "pretty good," suggesting some standout items on the menu.

Another customer who visited for the lunch buffet had a more positive experience, particularly with the service. They mentioned the restaurant was "super busy," advising others to arrive right when they open. This suggests that Wong's Restaurant is a popular local spot, especially during lunch hours. This reviewer, who ordered beef and broccoli due to a low-carb diet, was impressed by the waiter's accommodation of their specific requests for no sugar, salt, or MSG. They also noted that while the atmosphere near the buffet was dimly lit and the space was small, making navigation a bit difficult, the food was the "best I’ve had in Warsaw for Chinese." This indicates that despite some environmental drawbacks, the food quality can be a significant draw for some customers.

Overall, Wong's Restaurant offers large portions at cheap prices. While the atmosphere may not be its strongest point, the service can be commendable, with staff willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. The quality of the food appears to be inconsistent across different dishes, with the Crab Rangoon and potentially customized dishes like beef and broccoli being highlights for some, while others found issues with dishes like General Tso's chicken and Singapore noodles. My son and I ate here for a late lunch. Atmosphere has a lot to be desired. Prices are cheap, poritoms are large, but unfortunately our dishes weren't that great. My son ordered General Tsoas chicken, it was burnt and the sauce was tasteless. He said the fried rice was decent. I ordered Singapore noodles, the flavor was all cumin. Fried wontons 👎 no filling and super hard. Crab Rangoon, now these were amazing! I would go back just for these. Egg drop soup was pretty good

Went for lunch buffet today and they had a pretty good variety of things . I ended up ordering beef and broccoli as I am doing a low carb diet . They were super accommodating and I asked for NO sugar no salt and no MSG. The waiter was amazing . It’s a super busy place so go right when they open. I have a 4 star for atmosphere as it was pretty dimly lit by the buffet and hard to navigate around as it’s a small space . The food was the best I’ve had in Warsaw for Chinese .

Stopped while traveling. Found out a few things. Most importantly, Wong’s has been around 70 years!!! We had veggie fried rice and veggie Singapore noodles. Both were solid choices. It’s old school Cantonese style. Love the serving plates with the lids. The waiter was really kind and helpful.

wow. Where do I start. First of all, the lighting in this place is cinematic, and vibes immaculate. Great conversation with our waiter/host. We had chao mian, orange chicken, and broccoli beef + banging eggrolls. Honestly couldn’t be happier with this experience, even made me think about starting a life in Warsaw, IN as a mechanic, or pharmacist that also sold soda pop and drugs. Like the kind of soda that is medical and can heal you. So happy for Wong and his family for opening this establishment. And the prices sheeeeeeshhhh. Eli adds 🔥🔥🔥
