About Wong's Express
Welcome to the introduction of Wong's Express, a local establishment categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, located at 515 N Stewart St in Azle, Texas (TX 76020), USA. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of what Wong's Express offers, based on the available customer reviews. For inquiries or to place an order, you can contact them at (817) 270-2767 or their mobile number +1 817-270-2767.
As a Chinese Restaurant, Wong's Express likely offers a menu featuring a variety of dishes popular in Chinese-American cuisine, primarily focused on takeout service based on the reviews. The menu appears to include standard items such as fried rice (pork fried rice was mentioned), noodle dishes (pork lo mein was ordered), and popular entrees like orange chicken and General Tso's chicken (though these received negative feedback in one review). They also offer appetizers such as wontons (meat-filled, as clarified in one review), crab rangoons, and egg rolls. The total cost for a substantial takeout order including these items was around $36, providing some indication of their pricing for a multi-item meal.
The primary service model at Wong's Express seems to be takeout, as indicated by the first reviewer's experience of ordering at the door and a relatively fast takeout time. The second reviewer's experience of ordering a large quantity of food also suggests a focus on fulfilling takeout orders. While there is no direct mention of dine-in service, it is possible that they might offer a limited seating area for customers waiting for their orders or those who prefer to eat on-site, but the emphasis appears to be on providing food for consumption off-premises. The first reviewer noted the "super sweet" lady at the door, suggesting a positive initial interaction with the staff during the ordering process.
The environment of Wong's Express is not described in detail in the provided reviews. Since the focus seems to be on takeout, the ambiance of any potential waiting area or dining space might be secondary to the efficiency of the order and pickup process. The mention of ordering "at the door" suggests a straightforward setup for placing and receiving orders. Without further information, it's difficult to comment on the decor or overall atmosphere of the establishment.
Features of Wong's Express, based on the customer reviews, present a mixed picture. One positive feature highlighted is the seemingly quick takeout service, at least for smaller orders, as noted by the first reviewer. The sweetness of the staff member taking orders is also a positive aspect of their service. However, significant negative features emerge from another review, which describes the food ordered for a large group as "the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted." Specifically, the orange chicken and General Tso's chicken were reported to be "all mushed together" with a poor quality sauce. The noodles and rice were also described as "not great," though at least edible. This review also indicates a lack of willingness from the restaurant to provide a refund for the unsatisfactory dishes, even after a direct complaint and discussion.
Currently, no specific promotional information for Wong's Express is available in the provided reviews. Local Chinese takeout restaurants sometimes offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for large orders. Given the negative experience with a large order in one review, it is unclear if they offer any incentives for such orders. To learn about any current promotions or special offers, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly.
The customer reviews for Wong's Express in Azle, TX, offer starkly contrasting experiences. One reviewer had a very positive experience with their takeout order of pork fried rice, pork lo mein, wontons, crab rangoons, and an egg roll, praising the taste of everything except the slightly dry, meat-filled wontons (which they were informed about beforehand). They also noted the sweet service and relatively fast takeout time. However, another reviewer had an extremely negative experience with a large order, describing the orange chicken and General Tso's chicken as poorly prepared and inedible, and the noodles and rice as subpar. This reviewer also reported a frustrating experience when attempting to get a refund for the unsatisfactory dishes.
The disappearance of a review mentioned by one customer is also a concerning point, as it raises questions about the transparency of feedback. However, without more context, it's difficult to draw definitive conclusions from this single comment.
The conflicting reviews make it challenging to form a completely objective assessment of Wong's Express. While one customer found the food to be "SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!" and the service pleasant, another described the food as "the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted" and reported poor customer service when addressing their concerns. This discrepancy suggests potential inconsistency in food quality or preparation, particularly for larger orders, and possible issues with customer service when problems arise.
In conclusion, Wong's Express in Azle, TX, appears to be primarily a takeout-focused Chinese restaurant. While one customer reported a highly positive experience with their order, praising the food and service, another had a severely negative experience with a large order, citing very poor food quality and unsatisfactory customer service. The environment is not detailed, but it seems to be a place where you order at the door for takeout. No promotional information is currently available. Local users should be aware of these contrasting reviews and the potential for variability in food quality and customer service when deciding whether to order from Wong's Express. It might be prudent to consider the size of the order and the specific dishes being ordered based on the feedback provided.

SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! You order at the door, the lady at the door was super sweet. We ordered the pork fried rice and pork lo mein with wantons, crab rangoons, and an egg roll. The total came out to $36 and change. Relatively fast takeout time for there was a person before me to compare times. Please note the wantons are meat filled, not cheese filled. She told me ahead of time but I give the wantons a 7/10... I wish it had cabbage filling with it so it wasn't so dry when eating them. But everything else was fire. Thank you! :)
My review disappeared which is very upsetting. Not sure if they can edit/delete reviews. I ordered food for 12-15 people and it was the worst chinese food I've ever tasted. The orange chicken and general tso came all mushed together and did not separate. Sauce was not even remotely good. Noodles, Rice, was not great either, but at least edible. Called to ask for refund for the orange and general tso chicken but was told it was normal. after some back and forth (even in chinese) I gave up trying to get it rectified through the business and will be taking it up with my credit card company.
I ordered the shrimp in lobster dish. It was the worst dish I have ever tried. The sauce was too thick like a loogie. I tries to add soy sauce it was uneddible. Usually all the food is great. Their lemon chicken is amazing.
I just had their hot and sour soup and I have had many, I believe them to be the best! It was so good like they just made it. I was even able to request no bamboo shoots! I also had the moo goo pan dish lol not sure if I said that right but it was so fresh and amazing as well. I will be coming back here often! Thanks guys for a being great since there aren’t many options where I live!
This place is awful. Was over charged 6$ as they manually enter price into card reader. Figured this out on my way out but let it go. Figured small business no biggie. Inside is sketch.. sure hole in the wall but if you question if they can pass a health inspection that isnt cool, against better judgement ordered anyway. Food was terrible. How they won best of a few years ago is beyond me but i can tell you why they arent winning it now. The food (at least pork products) appeared to have some red dye..some unnatural color to some of the food. Basically ate around things picked at it and wasted 41$ on 2 entrees and 2 apps. Complete waste of time and money and how they are still in business is the only amazing about this place.
