Wong Lee's Chinese Cuisine

In town for a few weeks, residing in the Cozy Cottage in Passe A Grill St. Petersburg FL…when my urge for Chinese food kept me searching to fill my hunger, Wong Lee Chinese Cuisine was the answer! I ordered off the menu, actually, Shrimp Egg Foo Young and their Special House Fried Rice. I was about six miles away but was worth the drive! Give it a try, I did!

The best little take-out restaurant, and the true definition of "mom and pop shop." Run by a couple for the past 37 years, they treat you like family every time you come in. Lots of healthy options. The best part–the prices are incredibly affordable. They should really be charging more for the value they offer. A hidden gem in St. Petersburg. Highly recommend!

DO NOT ORDER. Only once before tonight has my food been so bad that I had to spit it out. Well tonight was night 2. Everything tasted sour, like something had gone bad. We put it all in the garbage. We didn’t want to get sick.

The food was amazingly fresh and a million times better than your typical American Chinese restaurant. I’ve never seen such variety and quantity of fresh vegetables. And the lo mein tasted like it was cooked with home made pasta. Not your usual soggy doused in oil kind of stuff. Everyone in my party of 8 was wowed by the food. I will say one small critique is the sweet and sour sauce only tasted sour like they forgot the sweet part.

Best place. Best food. Amazing service. I will go here every night if I could
