Wong Kwok Chinese Restaurant

We recently moved back to Hampton Roads and have been looking for a good Chinese spot. We have found it in Wong Kwok! The staff are so sweet and cheerful, the food comes out very timely and the food is phenomenal; honestly, one of the best egg rolls I've ever tasted! The hot n sour soup hit the spot and the Moo Goo Gai Pain is delicious! We will definitely be back for more!

Messed up my order and then told me I told her the wrong thing yet made sure to charge me the equivalent of what I originally ordered. Very upset with the quality of customer service and I will never order from this place again I would rather cook at home.

My husband and I been going here for some time. Went there on a recent Friday late afternoon to get dinner. This particular visit will probably be our last. The lady that works at the cash register did not give my husband the credit card receipt to sign. As we were about to leave my husband noticed there was a $5.00 tip included. He went back in and told her she owe him $5.00. She gave it to him without incident. So please make sure you check your receipt for unauthorized tips. UPDATE: Have not been back here since my last review. Hubby and I decided to give another try(626/2024). He got pork yock and sausage and rice. I got chicken fried rice and general tso. DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN FRIED RICE!! I don't know what is was, but it definitely was not chicken. Threw the whole thing out. The general tso was ok. I am extremely disappointed in the chicken fried rice. My stomach hurt all night long. The supposedly chicken was cube and clear, and the texture was rubbery.

Food was sooooo nasty i had so much gas after eating this i order shrimp, broccoli the shrimp was so little the food was nasty as hell no flavor foreal just grossssssss i put it all in the tash can

One of the best Chinese spots in Portsmouth. It’s not your average Chinese restaurant; but in a great way. They do offer regular dishes, I recommend trying the unusual items on the menu. Those are their specialty. Like the smoked sausage and gravy pictured.
