About Wok This Way

Welcome to Wok This Way, a Chinese restaurant conveniently located at 3500 S Meridian F16 in Puyallup, Washington. As part of the Chinese Restaurant platform category, Wok This Way aims to provide local users with a variety of Chinese culinary options. This category typically includes establishments that serve cooked Chinese dishes, encompassing a wide array of preparations involving rice, noodles, vegetables, and various proteins, often available for both dining in and takeout.

Based on the available online reviews, Wok This Way seems to have cultivated a reputation for friendly and efficient service. One customer, who frequented the restaurant during lunch breaks, described the staff as "so sweet and kind." This suggests that the customer service at Wok This Way is a significant positive aspect of the dining experience, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.

The same reviewer also praised the food, stating that it is "always hot and delicious" and giving the restaurant a perfect 10/10 recommendation. This positive feedback indicates that many customers find the food quality at Wok This Way to be consistently high, with freshness and taste being key attributes. For those seeking a reliable spot for a satisfying Chinese meal, this review suggests that Wok This Way is a strong contender.

However, it's important to consider all perspectives. Another customer, in a review from October 2021, had a different experience. They noted that the food was "definitely not New York Style Chinese Food," which implies that the culinary style at Wok This Way might lean towards a more generalized American-Chinese cuisine or have its own unique approach that doesn't strictly adhere to regional variations. This is crucial for customers who might have specific expectations based on their familiarity with Chinese food from other regions.

In the same review, the customer ordered a two-item meal with Chow Mein, selecting Orange Chicken and General Tso. Their feedback on these dishes was less positive. They mentioned that the General Tso tasted "old" and lacked spiciness, which might be disappointing for those who prefer a fresh and flavorful version of this popular dish. The Chow Mein was described as lacking flavor and containing very few vegetables, essentially being "just cooked spaghetti" that required the addition of soy sauce for taste. This critique points to potential inconsistencies in the preparation and flavor profiles of certain dishes.

Despite these criticisms, the reviewer did acknowledge that the portion sizes were large for the price, which was around $9 for the two-item meal. This suggests that Wok This Way offers good value in terms of the quantity of food received, even if the quality and taste might not meet everyone's expectations across all dishes.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it appears that Wok This Way might offer a somewhat variable experience depending on individual preferences and the specific dishes ordered. While some customers highly praise the friendly service and the hot, delicious food, others have found certain dishes lacking in flavor or not meeting their expectations in terms of authenticity or preparation style.

Information regarding the ambiance or environment of Wok This Way is not provided in these reviews. However, its location within a complex at 3500 S Meridian F16 suggests it might be a more casual, perhaps strip mall-based eatery catering primarily to takeout and local diners. The focus seems to be more on the food and service rather than a specific dining atmosphere.

Given the positive mention of quick service during lunch breaks, Wok This Way could be a convenient option for those working or shopping in the Puyallup South Meridian area who are looking for a fast and affordable meal. The large portion sizes for the price point might also appeal to budget-conscious customers.

To get a more comprehensive understanding of Wok This Way, potential customers might consider trying some of the dishes that have received positive feedback, such as those enjoyed by the regular lunch customer. Alternatively, they could inquire about the preparation style and ingredients of specific dishes when placing their order. For takeout orders or any inquiries, Wok This Way can be contacted at (253) 864-4928 or +1 253-864-4928. As with any restaurant, personal experiences can vary, and exploring the menu might lead to the discovery of satisfying and enjoyable meals at Wok This Way.

10/29/2021 Definitely not New York Style Chinese Food. I ordered the the two item meal with Chow Mein. I got Orange Chicken and General Tso. It does not taste like typical Americanized Chinese food. The General Tso tasted old and was not spicy. The chow mein had no flavor and very little vegetables in it. It was just cooked spaghetti. I had to add soy sauce to it. It is a large portion of food though for around $9.

General To’s Chicken & Mandarin Chicken - Nine Dollars I am selective about Chinese food. I was satisfied with the two-entree plate I ordered with fried rice.

It's no wonder this restaurant has been in the mall for so long. I've always been served good food with kind service

I got food poisoning from the chow mein and orange chicken. Started showing symptoms within an hour of eating here. The chow mein was also super salty, but the orange chicken tasted good.
