About Wok & Teriyaki

Welcome to Wok & Teriyaki, a Chinese restaurant conveniently located at 1948 SE Lund Ave # 100 in Port Orchard, WA 98366, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant platform category, Wok & Teriyaki offers a selection of Chinese and potentially other Asian-inspired dishes, catering to the tastes of the Port Orchard community. Situated on SE Lund Avenue, it aims to be a go-to spot for those seeking flavorful takeout options.

For placing orders or making inquiries, Wok & Teriyaki can be contacted at (360) 874-1357 or via their mobile number at +1 360-874-1357. Feel free to reach out to them to learn more about their menu and services.

Based on the available customer reviews, Wok & Teriyaki seems to offer dishes that are well-received in terms of taste. One reviewer who tried the teriyaki chicken and Kung Pao beef mentioned that both dishes were "excellent tasting," indicating a strength in the flavor profiles of their offerings. This suggests that local users looking for tasty Chinese cuisine might find Wok & Teriyaki to their liking.

The same reviewer also noted that the portion sizes were "large," which could be a significant draw for customers seeking value in terms of quantity. Generous portions often mean a satisfying meal and the potential for leftovers, making the dining experience more economical in the long run.

However, alongside the positive comments about taste and portion size, there is a concern raised regarding the pricing. The reviewer who enjoyed the teriyaki chicken and Kung Pao beef felt that the price was "a little high." This suggests that while the food might be enjoyable and plentiful, it might fall on the higher end of the price spectrum for a casual Chinese takeout restaurant in the area.

Another, more detailed review from January 9, 2025, paints a more concerning picture regarding pricing and portion sizes. This long-time customer expressed "extreme sticker shock" upon paying $40 for two spicy teriyaki chicken breast dinners. They were assured by the staff that there was no price mistake and even compared the current menu with one from the previous year, finding that prices had been "increased to a substantially higher level." This significant price hike could be a major consideration for local users, especially those who have frequented Wok & Teriyaki in the past.

Adding to this customer's disappointment was the observation that the portions of both the chicken and the side salad were "noticeably smaller" than what they were accustomed to receiving. This combination of increased prices and reduced portion sizes could significantly impact the perceived value of the meals at Wok & Teriyaki.

The reviewer's sentiment highlights a sense of loss, as they considered Wok & Teriyaki a "neighborhood staple" for many years, often relying on it for weeknight takeout. However, the new pricing structure has led them to conclude that they would rather spend that amount of money at a "far nicer restaurant" where they would typically dine in, suggesting that the current prices are no longer competitive for the type of food and dining experience offered by Wok & Teriyaki.

The phrase "prices now are truly beyond the pale" strongly emphasizes the reviewer's negative perception of the current cost of dining at Wok & Teriyaki. This feedback is crucial for potential new customers and long-time patrons alike, as it indicates a significant shift in the restaurant's pricing strategy.

Based on these reviews, Wok & Teriyaki offers tasty food with large portions according to one account, but another more recent experience suggests that prices have increased substantially while portion sizes may have decreased. This creates a mixed impression regarding the value proposition of the restaurant.

For local users in Port Orchard considering Wok & Teriyaki, it is advisable to inquire about the current menu prices and portion sizes before placing an order. While the taste of the food seems to be a consistent positive aspect, the cost might be higher than expected, and the quantity might not be as generous as it once was. If you prioritize flavorful food and are less concerned about potentially higher prices, Wok & Teriyaki might still be a viable option. However, if you are budget-conscious or expect large portions for the price, it would be prudent to verify the current offerings.

Given the limited information, details about the environment and services beyond takeout are not explicitly mentioned. It's possible that Wok & Teriyaki primarily functions as a takeout restaurant, given the nature of the reviews focusing on the food and pricing for takeout orders. Information regarding dine-in options, if available, or the ambiance of the restaurant is not provided in the current feedback.

Similarly, no specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts or special offers might need to contact the restaurant directly or check local listings for any advertised promotions.

In conclusion, Wok & Teriyaki in Port Orchard appears to serve tasty Chinese dishes, with past experiences indicating large portions. However, more recent feedback suggests a significant increase in prices coupled with potentially smaller portions, which has negatively impacted the perceived value by at least one long-term customer. Local users should weigh the positive comments about taste against the concerns about pricing and portion sizes when considering Wok & Teriyaki for their next meal.

My Aunt & I had a late lunch of teriyaki chicken and Kung Pao beef. Both dishes were large portions but the price was a little high! Food was excellent tasting and I'd love to go back.

January 9, 2025: I suffered extreme sticker shock when I handed over my debit card to pay for 2 spicy teriyaki chicken breast dinners, totaling $40! The nice lady at the counter assured me there was no price mistake and showed me the menu. I took the menu with me and compared it with the one I had at home from last year. As anyone will see when comparing last year to this new menu, prices had been increased to a substantially higher level. To add to my further disappointment, the portions of both the chicken & the side salad were noticeably smaller than what I was accustomed to receiving. I am very sad because I have been coming here for many years, and consider Wok Teriyaki a neighborhood staple. Many a weeknight, we’ve resorted to takeout when making dinner wasn’t feasible. No more. If I’m going to pay this much for similar food, it will be at a far nicer restaurant where we would typically dine in. The prices now are truly beyond the pale.

In love! Went here for the first time today, Ordered some chicken teriyaki and sweet and sour chicken and I'm in love with them both! The sauce is amazing and everything was prepped in a decent time and great prices for amazing food. Great big portion sizes too!

Excellent food and very well-priced! Gyoza and eggrolls were cooked to perfect crispiness, teriyaki chicken was generous and had right amount of sauce, rice was sticky and fresh. The only bad thing I could say is that I also ordered a California roll, and well, let's just say I've had better, this roll was too small and the avocado had way too many brown spots. But overall, excellent food and service! It was all ready to go in less than 10 minutes!

The food wasn't great, specifically the sesame chicken and terriaki chicken dinner meals. I was most upset that they would not give more than one soy sauce packet per full dinner meal with out charging me more.
