About Wok Street

Welcome to Wok Street, a Chinese Restaurant located at 2005 Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX 75217, USA. Wok Street offers both dine-in and takeout options for its customers.

One customer described the dine-in experience around 8 pm as pleasant due to fewer people, noting the restaurant as "cutesy." They also appreciated the accommodating nature of the fried rice, suggesting it is prepared to suit a wide range of palates, and expressed a positive overall experience, indicating they would return.

However, another customer had a significantly negative experience with the food quality. They ordered broccoli with beef but found very little meat, mostly consisting of small, chewy pieces, mixed with a large amount of carrots and broccoli in a sauce with an "off" flavor and a weird aftertaste, suggesting the ingredients might not have been fresh. The "fried" rice was described as appearing and feeling like regular or steamed old rice mixed with a bit of soy sauce or flavorless sauce, lacking typical fried rice ingredients like egg and vegetables.

The same reviewer also ordered deluxe chicken broccoli and sweet and sour chicken, finding the chicken in both dishes to be very chewy. The deluxe chicken broccoli was mixed in a gooey white substance resembling starch and water without a thickened sauce and contained cabbage and onion instead of broccoli, with undercooked vegetables and no seasoning. The sweet and sour chicken was crispy, which was a positive point, but the sauce, served on the side, was runny and tasteless, as if watered down.

A notable positive aspect mentioned by the second reviewer was the smoothies, which they described as "bomb," although one was a little too sweet. Their child enjoyed both the honeydew (which was kiwi) and the kiwi (which tasted like watermelon) smoothies. They also enjoyed the egg rolls and some of the broccoli that was not saturated in the unidentifiable "off-tasting" black sauce, as well as the crispy sweet and sour chicken.

Currently, there is no information available regarding specific promotions or special offers at Wok Street. The reviews present a mixed picture, with a positive dine-in experience and accommodating fried rice contrasted by significant concerns about the quality and preparation of other dishes like broccoli with beef and various chicken preparations.

Going here is the best when it's 8pm ish. Because there's barley people in the store for dine-in. My first time here and it is cutesy. The food? So good. I like how they accommodate the fried rice towards a level that everyone can enjoy. It was a good and great experience. I'm definitely coming here again. 🩷🩷🩷ヾ(・ω・*)ノ

Ima be very honest. Last night was the first time i went to this place. Ordered broccoli with beef but wheres the beef at? 😒 we ate most veggies and thought there was no meat for a second only to realize it had mostly small pieces and i mean small like if it was for a baby or idk if it was like leftover meat???? Very chewy too. It was mostly carrots and broccoli tossed in some sauce that i could not figure out the flavor, it was just off, it even left a weird after taste as if the meat and sauce were old or going bad … The “fried” rice actually seemed and felt like it was regular or steamed old rice and someone just mixed it with either a bit of soy sauce or some kind of sauce that doesn’t have flavor and it was plainno egg no veggies no nothing! So not stirred fried rice. Also ordered deluxe chicken broccoli and sweet and sour chicken and IDK what that chicken was but it was very chewy ☹️ and it was mixed in some kind of gooey white something as if it was starch and water and they forgot to actually add the sauce to thicken it and there was no broccoli just cabbage onion and idk what other vegetables that were not cooked all the way. That whole side was covered in some white coating/sauce it was weird. Not even seasoned. 😩The only thing my son and i ate and enjoyed were the smoothies. Those were bomb, one was a little too sweet but still enjoyable. My kid really liked both. Ordered honeydew and got him kiwi, kiwi one tasted like watermelon though. 🤷🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️ we liked the eggrolls we ordered and some of the broccoli that was NOT soked in that black sauce that i couldnt figure out what it tasted like and tasted off, and the sweet and sour chicken. That battered chicken was crispy; that was the only nice thing. which btw the S&S sauce was on the side and didnt taste of anything and was very runny as if it was watered down. The pic is from moving it around and eating most of the veggies on top, trying to find the meat and realized the fried rice is not fried.

I love this place but today I ordered through DoorDash thinking I was getting rice noodles because of the picture that it shows but ended up receiving fried rice. Then I call to the store to let them know and the guy that answered was not helpful at all he literally was rude. Customer service needs to be better.
