About Wok & Roll

Wok & Roll is a Chinese restaurant located at 3050 E Lake Lansing Rd #2a, East Lansing, MI 48823, USA. They can be contacted at phone number (517) 332-1811 or mobile phone +1 517-332-1811.

Customer reviews for Wok & Roll present contrasting experiences. One customer reported a very negative experience with the beef and broccoli dish, describing the meat as chewy and inedible. They found the crab rangoon to be okay and the chicken fried rice to be mediocre, ultimately feeling their $33 purchase was not worthwhile and stating they would not return.

Conversely, another customer had a highly positive experience after deciding to try Wok & Roll. They praised the sesame chicken as the best they had had in years. This reviewer also appreciated being able to watch their meal being cooked after placing a walk-in order, which they felt contributed to the freshness of the food. They strongly recommended the restaurant.

Given these differing opinions, it appears that the food quality at Wok & Roll may be inconsistent, with some dishes being well-received while others are not. The experience of freshness, possibly due to visible cooking, was a highlight for one customer. Local users might find some dishes to be excellent, such as the sesame chicken, but there is also a risk of encountering dishes that do not meet expectations, as indicated by the negative review of the beef and broccoli.

Worst beef and broccoli I’ve ever had, chewy could not eat any of the meat. On the plus side it was hot, crab Rangoon was ok, and chicken fried rice was mediocre at best. Its your money spend it how you wish, not worth the $33 dollars I paid, never again!

I had a long day that finished with a trip to the laundry mat. I was quite hungry so I decided to give Work and Roll a try. I'm glad I did! This was the best Sesame Chicken I have had in years! And having walked in and placed my order, it was cool to watch my meal being cooked even....no wonder it tastes fresh because it is! I highly recommend this place!

Love this place. I do laundry next door and whenever I’m hungry doing that laundry and need to burn some time I come next door and am never disappointed. Last time I had the dragon & Phoenix but today it’s just shrimp fried rice. It’s delicious and there’s a bunch of shrimp in here. Perfection

I've ordered the spicy chicken lo mein 3 times now and it's honestly one of the best I've had. Food is ready quickly and is always hot. Definitely give this place a try!

Typical American Chinese food. Here are the facts, you make your own judgements. Bland, fatty, refrigerator seasoned chicken. Over sweetened sauces from a can. I normally would leave a decent review but as far as Chinese restaurants go, this was pretty low. You would find better quality at the Mall. Chicken was all batter and fried fat, no meat and no flavor. It was old and I could definitely taste the freezer burn. I had cold raw broccoli on the plate for some reason. Rice was dry and flavorless. Portion size was small and value was way off. Egg roll was fried 5 minutes too long. Service was not friendly, not bad, but not good. The only thing I liked was that they don’t have ice and unfortunately, they use styrofoam plates and plastic forks for dining in.
