About Wok N Go

Wok N Go is a Chinese restaurant located at 426 Lexington Rd #100, Versailles, KY 40383, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Wok N Go aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to the Versailles community. They can be contacted at (859) 873-1559 or via their mobile number +1 859-873-1559 for placing orders or inquiries.

Based on the limited customer feedback available online, the experiences at Wok N Go appear to be somewhat contrasting. One customer reported a negative experience, stating that they would not eat there again after allegedly having an allergic reaction on their arm after consuming the chicken fried rice. This same reviewer also mentioned that the food made their mother sick, including the shrimp peapod dish. This feedback raises significant concerns about food safety and the potential for adverse reactions to their food.

On the other hand, another customer shared a positive long-term experience, stating that they have enjoyed the food at Wok N Go for the past six years without any bad experiences. This reviewer specifically praised the egg rolls, fried rice, and won ton soup as being "great," "delicious," and "excellent," respectively. They did mention a personal preference against the egg foo young but clarified that this was likely a matter of individual taste rather than a flaw in the dish itself. Notably, this positive reviewer indicated that they have "never eaten in" and always opt for carry-out, suggesting that Wok N Go is a popular choice for takeout in the area.

Considering these two reviews, it is evident that there is a divergence in customer experiences with Wok N Go. The negative review involving a potential allergic reaction and foodborne illness is a serious concern that potential customers should be aware of. The positive review, spanning a significant period, suggests that many customers have found the food to be consistently enjoyable, particularly for takeout. The discrepancy could be due to various factors, such as changes in food preparation over time, individual sensitivities, or isolated incidents.

The positive reviewer's comment about always choosing carry-out suggests that Wok N Go likely provides efficient and reliable takeout service. However, there is no information available in the provided reviews regarding the dine-in environment of the restaurant. Local users interested in dining at the establishment would need to seek additional information from other sources or perhaps visit the location to assess the ambiance and setup.

Features of Wok N Go, based on the positive review, include the apparent quality of their staple Chinese-American dishes such as egg rolls, fried rice, and won ton soup. The availability of takeout service seems to be a significant aspect of their operation, catering to customers who prefer to eat their meals at home. The negative review, however, does not highlight any positive features and instead focuses on potential issues with food safety and quality.

No promotional information is mentioned in either of the provided reviews. It is unknown if Wok N Go offers any special deals, discounts for takeout orders, lunch specials, or loyalty programs. Local users interested in any potential promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly at (859) 873-1559 or +1 859-873-1559 to inquire about current offers.

In conclusion, Wok N Go in Versailles, KY, is a Chinese restaurant that appears to be a popular choice for takeout, with one long-term customer praising several of their dishes. However, a concerning recent review reports a potential allergic reaction and illness after consuming their food, raising questions about food safety and consistency. Local users considering Wok N Go should be aware of these contrasting experiences. If opting for takeout, those with allergies or sensitivities may want to exercise extra caution and perhaps inquire about ingredients and preparation methods. For those interested in dining in, further information about the restaurant's environment would be needed from other sources.

Will not eat here again, I've had their rice a couple of times before but they did something to my food that didn't suit right with me, I had an allergic reaction on my arm after consuming their chicken fried rice. The food made my mom sick including the shrimp peapod. Not returning.

We really enjoy their food. Haven't had any bad experience in the past 6 years. Egg rolls great, fried rice is delicious, and the won ton soup is excellent. I didn't care for the egg foo young, but I believe that's personal preference. Never have eaten in, we always carry out.

The beef lo mein special was a bit on the salty side but wasn't too much, still enjoyable. The roll was very crispy which is the way I like it and the innards weren't mushy. Finally it was a lot of food👍. This building is kind of odd, reminds me of a diner where you'd get hotdogs and hamburgers. The people running the place are kind wish I could've stayed and talked longer. Cheers.

The food is downright terrible. We have given this place 2 tries hoping that maybe it was just a bad first time. The sauces have promise, but the fried chicken options (sesame chicken for example) is terribly dry and freezer burnt flavor and overly starchy texture. The chicken looks more like they are frozen chicken tenders than fresh made chicken. The beef is gelatinois and gross. It seriously makes me think it could potentially be cuts of reconstituted beef. The fried rice is flavorless with no veggies added to the rice. I don't think I've had such bad Chinese food in my life. It's cheap. That's the only positive. But it's not even worth the price paid for what we got to eat.

Great Chinese food and wonderful service. Family run and very beautiful clean kitchen that is in view from counter. Generous portions and always the freshest vegetables. Delicious egg rolls a true test of a great Chinese restaurant.
