About Wok Chi Asian Kitchen 鑊氣
Located at 800 Marietta St NW Suite F, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA, Wok Chi Asian Kitchen 鑊氣 is a Chinese Restaurant offering convenient meal takeaway services to the local Atlanta community, particularly in the West Midtown area. This "little gem" is noted for its tasty food, with a focus on freshness as everything is made in-house and to order.
Wok Chi caters to various dietary preferences, including solid vegan options. A standout vegan dish mentioned by a customer is the General Tso tofu with fried rice, which is praised for its flavorful kick. They also offer vegan dumplings that are pan-fried, although the accompanying garlic soy sauce was noted to have large portion sizes for the sauce.
Beyond vegan choices, Wok Chi is also known for its flavorful wings, particularly the Thai Chili wings, which are described as crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and having a delightful sweet and slightly spicy glaze. While one customer found the pork fried rice to be overly eggy, the wings were a definite highlight and a reason for a return visit.

The ambiance is described as chill, with comfortable bar seating and music at a perfect volume. Customers have been greeted warmly by the staff, who are noted to be pleasant and welcoming.
Wok Chi provides a convenient QR code menu for easy browsing and ordering. The food is well-packed for takeaway, maintaining its visual appeal and allowing the delicious aroma to entice even before opening the container. The portion sizes are considered perfect for the price point.

If you’re looking for a late-night spot in West Midtown with solid vegan options, Wok Chi is the place! This little gem is so cute and offers some seriously tasty food. I tried the General Tso tofu with fried rice, and I absolutely loved the kick it had. I also ordered the vegan dumplings, which were pan-fried. They were good, but I wasn’t completely sold on the garlic soy sauce that came with it. The sauce portions are only available in large, which is a bit much, but that’s a minor thing. If you're in the mood for a drink, the Lychee Martini at Wok Chi is a must-try—it's sweet, refreshing, and the perfect complement to any meal! What I really appreciated is that everything is made in-house and to order, which gives it such a fresh and authentic vibe. You can tell they really care about quality. The service was decent, though I wouldn’t say the staff was particularly eager. Still, the food made up for it, and I’ll definitely be back—especially for that General Tso tofu!
I was in the area for a friend's birthday and I was hungryyyyyyyyy. As I was heading to my car I passed Wok Chi. Their QR menu was on the window so I scanned it. After taking a scroll I decided to place an order. Walking in, the restaurant is very clean and made great use of the space. The bar is directly in front of you and the tables are to your right. It’s very cute with a simple design and a few eye-catching placements throughout the area. I walked up to the ordering area and was immediately greeted. The young lady was very pleasant and welcoming. I placed my order for 6 Wings, Thai Chili, with Pork Fried Rice, paid and took a seat at the bar to wait on my food. The ambiance is very chill. The music was at a perfect volume as I was still able to hear my conversation, the staff was laughing and engaging with one another, and the bar seats were super comfortable. My food arrived and was super fresh. As I placed my order to go, I was excited that I could smell my food through the container. Opening my container, the visual appeal was nice. The plate was well packed and the portion size was perfect for the price point of the meal. Now… the Food! The wings were amazing. Though they were light in color, they were crispy on the outside and juicy and hot on the inside. The flavor profile of the Thai Chili sat well on the fresh wings. The sweetness wasn’t too sweet and put me in the mind of a honey glaze. The chili flakes were present but not too spicy. There were some good wings. I would definitely come back for more. The rice was a bit too eggy for me. I’m accustomed to egg being in fried rice, however, the eggs overpowered the rice and pork. After two bites I was unable to adjust to the over-powering egg presence and decided not to eat the rice. All in all, I’ll be back for the wings.
The tangerine beef is my favorite. Beef Lo mein, tofu and veggie egg rolls are good. The Hong Kong beef ho fun was okay just not better than the tangerine beef. Throughly enjoyed the Korean spirits. I like all of the flavors except for the yogurt.
This was my first time here at this establishment…it was recommended from one of my coaches on my coaching staff…I walked in an it was very clean and spacious….they have great customer service and the vibe was perfect…with great music….the food was great….i ordered the chicken fried rice with garlic wings and extra duck sauce lol….i will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu an dine in next time…..
Contrary to what most reviews say, I can confirm this was the WORST Chinese food I have in Atlanta - Panda Express is much better! First, the order took over 40 minutes to come. We received multiple wrong dishes and were rudely talked to by the waiters. The Thai Curry Fried Rice had no Thai taste. Furthermore, the salt was not disturbed evenly and some parts were very salty! We also ordered the Wings & Fried Rice. Multiple pieces of the chicken were green and the wings were quite bland. The Chicken & Garlic sauce that we ordered had no spice, no garlic taste, the chicken had a poor texture Overall, Wok Chi Asian Kitchen was a poor dining experience. Bad service and even worse food. There are multiple great Chinese restaurants in Atlanta. Save your time and money and choose another restaurant!
