About Wok Buffet
This introduction is about Wok Buffet, which was a Chinese Restaurant located at 141 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, New York. Based on the limited information available from recent customer reviews, it is important to note a significant piece of information regarding the current status of this establishment. One reviewer mentioned that the "whole building's been demolished now," indicating that Wok Buffet may no longer be operational at its former address.
Given this crucial update, any detailed introduction regarding the environment, services, features, and promotional information based solely on past experiences would be potentially misleading for local users seeking a current dining option. However, we can still analyze the sentiments expressed in the available reviews to understand what Wok Buffet was like when it was operational.
One customer who compared Wok Buffet to other buffets they had visited stated that it was "by far the best." This is a strong positive endorsement, suggesting that Wok Buffet was highly regarded for its food quality and overall dining experience, at least by this particular individual. The reviewer also specifically mentioned "great food and staff," indicating that both the culinary offerings and the service provided by the employees were commendable. Based on this feedback, Wok Buffet appears to have been a well-received Chinese buffet in the West Hempstead area.
Another review evokes a sense of nostalgia, with a customer recalling fond memories of visiting Wok Buffet for birthdays and family dinners during their childhood. The statement, "Man I miss this place," further underscores the positive impact that Wok Buffet had on some of its patrons and suggests that it was a cherished local establishment for family gatherings and celebrations. The fact that this reviewer is aware of the building's demolition highlights the likelihood that Wok Buffet is no longer in business at its former location.
Due to the information about the building being demolished, it is impossible to provide a current description of the environment of Wok Buffet. However, we can infer from the positive reviews that it likely offered a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, suitable for family dining and celebrations. The fact that a customer has fond childhood memories of the place suggests it was a comfortable and perhaps even a memorable setting.
Similarly, with the restaurant likely closed, it is challenging to detail the current services offered. However, the positive mention of "staff" in one review indicates that Wok Buffet provided standard buffet service, with employees likely responsible for food preparation, replenishment, and customer assistance within the dining area. The high recommendation to a friend also implies that the service was efficient and satisfactory.
In terms of features, being a buffet-style Chinese restaurant, Wok Buffet would have offered a wide selection of dishes, allowing customers to sample various items and eat at their own pace. The positive feedback on the "great food" suggests that the variety and quality of the buffet offerings were a key feature that set it apart from other similar establishments. The fact that it was a place for family birthdays and dinners implies it was spacious enough to accommodate groups and had a family-friendly ambiance.
Given the apparent closure of Wok Buffet, any information regarding current promotional offers would not be applicable. However, it is reasonable to assume that, like many buffet restaurants, Wok Buffet may have had special pricing for children, seniors, or offered deals for group bookings when it was operational.
In conclusion, based on the available past customer reviews, Wok Buffet was a Chinese buffet in West Hempstead, NY, that was highly regarded for its food quality and staff. It was a place where families gathered for celebrations and created lasting memories. However, it is critical to note the recent information indicating that the building where Wok Buffet was located has been demolished, suggesting that the restaurant is no longer in business at its former address of 141 Hempstead Turnpike. Local users searching for Wok Buffet may need to be aware of this development. While it was seemingly a beloved establishment by some, its current operational status is uncertain, and it is advisable to seek alternative Chinese buffet options in the West Hempstead area.
For those who have fond memories of Wok Buffet, the closure may be disappointing. The positive reviews serve as a testament to the quality it once offered to the community. However, for those seeking a Chinese buffet in West Hempstead today, it would be necessary to look for other options, as the information suggests that Wok Buffet, in its previous form and location, is no longer available.

Compared to other buffets I have been to this is by far the best. Great food and staff definitely would recommend to another friend
I used to come here for birthdays and dinners with my family when I was little. Whole buildings been demolished now. Man I miss this place
Stomach ache, i dont know about this place. Wendys is across the street. Ice cream was good tho.
I wish I could give no stars to be honest. 6+ years ago, this place had some sort of bug infestation where my friend's sister had found a bug in her food. Apparently, I completely forgot that that was the reason why we stopped going there. A few weeks ago, I went again after not being there for a while. I've never had to go up to a couple of waitresses to ask for the check after they apparently missed checking our table when they had only 4-5 tables to attend to. Two waitresses. Before that, we were waiting for them to check on tables for possibly 15-20 minutes. They were on their phones the entire time. I see why we stopped going. Don't bother going here. If you do, expect possible bugs & horrible service.
A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. We took our family here to eat based on the lower prices advertised on the front door and the 6.99 kids price. The food and presentation was not good. Food was cold and old. Everything with the exception of the fried fish and peppered steak was either too salty, too greasy, hard to chew or had a funky taste. I was hoping to have a better experience but left feeling nauseas. On top of that, the restaurant charged us full price for my 10 yr old. Although, the restaurant has a large sign advertised on the front door with the children's price listed, they charge by the height. Bring a magnifying glass to find the disclaimer signs which are conveniently listed in small print.
