About Wok & Bowl
Located at 18012 W Valley Hwy, Kent, WA 98032, USA, Wok & Bowl presents itself as a local establishment offering a blend of Chinese and Teriyaki cuisine. As a Chinese Restaurant platform category, it provides an array of dishes designed to cater to various palates, primarily focusing on a casual dining or takeout experience. While customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on the establishment, they collectively paint a picture of its offerings and operational nuances.
The environment of Wok & Bowl, based on the limited information from customer reviews, suggests a practical, no-frills setting that prioritizes the food itself over an elaborate dining atmosphere. The reviews do not elaborate on seating capacity or interior décor, indicating that its primary function might lean towards being a quick-service or takeout-oriented eatery. The mention of it being a place customers "go once in a while" implies a sense of familiarity and a routine stop for local patrons. As with many casual Chinese and Teriyaki restaurants, the ambiance is typically functional, designed for efficient ordering and food preparation rather than an extended sit-down experience. Prospective diners should anticipate a straightforward environment, with the main focus being on the culinary offerings available for consumption on-site or as takeout.
Regarding services, Wok & Bowl operates as a standard restaurant where customers place orders, and food is prepared to their specifications. The staff's role is to take orders and serve the prepared dishes. One review highlights a specific interaction where a customer's wife "nagged" them to go get teriyaki, suggesting a typical customer service interaction. However, a significant concern was raised regarding hygiene, specifically a customer noting "filthy" hands and grime under the nails of the person taking orders. This feedback directly impacts the perceived service quality and general cleanliness standards. While the efficiency of service in terms of order fulfillment is not explicitly detailed beyond the general expectation of a quick-service establishment, the hygiene concern overshadows other aspects of service. For any food establishment, cleanliness is paramount, and such observations can significantly influence a customer's overall experience and decision to return.
The features of Wok & Bowl's menu include a range of popular Chinese and Teriyaki dishes. A recurring favorite mentioned by a customer is the Teriyaki Combo (chicken & beef), which appears to be a go-to order for regulars. Another highlight is the Yakisoba with beef, which one reviewer found to be "great" and a successful deviation from their usual order. Additionally, Takoyaki is offered and comes highly recommended by a satisfied customer, suggesting a broader Asian influence beyond just traditional Chinese and Teriyaki fare. These specific dish mentions indicate a menu that focuses on well-known and generally well-received comfort food items within the Asian culinary spectrum. The availability of diverse options like yakisoba and takoyaki alongside standard teriyaki and Chinese dishes aims to cater to a wider range of tastes, appealing to those who enjoy both Japanese and Chinese inspired flavors.
While specific promotional information for Wok & Bowl is not available within the provided customer reviews, it is common for restaurants in this category to offer various deals to attract and retain customers. These might include lunch specials, combo meals, family deals, or discounts for online orders. Given the casual nature and focus on accessible cuisine, any promotions would likely be designed to offer value and encourage repeat business. For the most up-to-date information on any current promotions, menu updates, or hours of operation, potential customers are advised to contact Wok & Bowl directly. The restaurant can be reached by phone at (425) 656-2992 or via mobile at +1 425-656-2992. Direct communication would provide the most accurate and current details, especially given the contrasting nature of the customer feedback regarding the quality of food versus cleanliness standards.
In summary, Wok & Bowl in Kent, WA, positions itself as a convenient option for Chinese and Teriyaki takeout and casual dining. It offers popular dishes like teriyaki combos, yakisoba, and takoyaki, which have garnered positive feedback for their taste. However, potential customers should be aware of a significant concern raised by one reviewer regarding hygiene standards. This highlights the importance for any food service establishment to maintain impeccable cleanliness, as it directly impacts customer perception and safety. While some patrons have had consistently good experiences with the food, the varied feedback underscores the need for continuous attention to both culinary quality and operational standards to ensure a consistently positive dining experience for all. For those in the Kent area seeking a quick and flavorful Asian meal, Wok & Bowl offers a menu with established favorites, but it is advisable to consider all aspects of the customer experience.

Customer Reviews
I wasn't hungry but my wife nag me to go get some teriyaki so I drove her to this place which we have been going there once in a while. I always order teriyaki combo (chicken & beef) but this time, I tried something else. I had the yakisoba with beef and as usual, it was great! We also had takoyaki and its really good. I recommend it!
The lady up front hands are absolutely filthy, grime under her nails. I ordered anyways thinking it's okay. I ordered the Beef Yakisoba and after eating I was not well. Definitely not a reccomendation to any one. Have your staff be clean and presentable at all times. -500 out if 10.
The staff were very nice. I believe the ownership is Korean and that reflects in the food. The spicy chicken teriyaki definitely has a Korean tasting marinade/ sauce
The food here used to be really good. Recently though, it has been over cooked. Chicken is hard and crunchy at times; I get the orange chicken usually and I wasn’t even able to eat half of it last time I got it. Yakisoba was soggy and kind gross textured; it used to be really good. Greatly saddened as this place is close to my work. I have to find a new place to go now.
Excellent food and great service. Orange chicken is amazing cause it's a true orange chicken not just sweet chicken. Also the honey garlic chicken is highly recommended.
