About Wing Wong
Located at 1702 Grand Avenue in the Bronx, New York, Wing Wong has established itself as a highly regarded Chinese restaurant within the local community. As a prominent member of the "Chinese Restaurant" platform category, Wing Wong offers a range of services and a menu that has clearly resonated with its patrons, some of whom have been loyal customers for over a decade. Based on the available customer reviews, Wing Wong stands out for its consistently delicious food and specific signature dishes that keep people coming back.
One of the standout features of Wing Wong, according to a long-time customer, is their Singapore Mai-fun. This reviewer explicitly states that Wing Wong is "the only place to get Singapore Mai-fun" and specifically praises "Amy" for preparing it exceptionally well. This highlights a potential specialty of the restaurant, suggesting that their rendition of this classic dish is unique and highly satisfying. For those familiar with or curious to try authentic Singapore Mai-fun, Wing Wong appears to be the go-to destination in the area.
In addition to the Singapore Mai-fun, Wing Wong also receives accolades for its other offerings, specifically the "chicken wings and fries." This combination, while seemingly straightforward, is praised as being "great," indicating a commitment to quality even in their more casual dishes. This suggests that Wing Wong caters to a variety of tastes and preferences, offering both traditional Chinese fare and popular American-Chinese takeout staples done well.
Further solidifying Wing Wong's reputation as a top-tier Chinese restaurant in the Bronx is another glowing review from a customer who declares it the "Best Chinese spot PERIODT." This emphatic statement, coupled with the fact that they have been eating at Wing Wong for over ten years and have "never disappointed," speaks volumes about the restaurant's consistent quality and service. This long-term loyalty is a strong indicator of Wing Wong's ability to maintain high standards over time and build lasting relationships with its customers.
The same long-term patron also mentions that their favorite dish is the "Chicken & broccoli." This classic Chinese-American dish is a staple in many Chinese restaurants, but the fact that this customer considers Wing Wong's version their favorite, having tried others, underscores the exceptional preparation and flavor that Wing Wong offers. The repeated mention of "Amy" by name in one of the reviews suggests that there might be a particular cook or owner who plays a significant role in the restaurant's success and the quality of its signature dishes.
While the reviews primarily focus on the food quality and specific popular dishes, they also subtly hint at the service provided. The mention of "Amy" being responsible for the excellent Singapore Mai-fun and the long-term customer's unwavering satisfaction suggest a level of care and consistency in the preparation and potentially the overall operation of the restaurant. The friendly tone of the reviews implies a positive interaction with the staff, even if the primary focus of the feedback is on the exceptional food.

The only place to get Singapore Mai-fun.They (Amy) makes it very well and the chicken wings and fries 🍟 are great too.
Best Chinese spot PERIODT. been eating here for over 10 years and never disappoints. Chicken & broccoli is my favorite! I've tried other spots and always come back to Amy.
The restaurant is named Hing Ming on the inside. I was visiting New York from Memphis, TN. The Chinese food was horrible. I ordered shrimp fried rice and crab wonton. Amy did not tell me that she didn't sell them ( Crab Wonton). My husband ordered chicken wings and fries. The only good thing was the chicken wings and fries. The Chinese food was disgusting. It had no flavor or taste.
Hadn't ate there in a while, the food changed. Not as good, disappointing!! The sauce for the dumplings were watered down. The chicken didn't have the favor it used to. And the pork fried rice barely had any pork in it,
Amy is the best, she’s snappy but it’s the Bronx what you expect? It’s comical to me but I’ve been going there for over 25 years. Just speak loud and know what you want to order and you good, the food always hits the spot.
