About Wing Wah Restaurant

Wing Wah Restaurant is a Chinese Restaurant situated at 465 12th St in Ogden, UT 84404, serving the local community with a variety of Chinese dishes. For those in the Ogden area seeking a Chinese dining experience, Wing Wah Restaurant is one of the available options. They can be contacted at (801) 394-8788 or +1 801-394-8788 for inquiries or orders. Based on recent online reviews from customers who have dined at or ordered from Wing Wah Restaurant, a somewhat mixed picture emerges regarding the overall experience.

Details regarding the specific environment or ambiance of Wing Wah Restaurant are limited in the provided reviews. One reviewer noted being the only diner during what should have been a busy lunch hour, which could suggest a quiet atmosphere or potentially lower customer traffic at that particular time. Without further information, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the restaurant's physical setting or typical dining atmosphere. Local users interested in dining in may wish to visit during different times or inquire directly about the restaurant's ambiance when calling.

The services offered by Wing Wah Restaurant appear to include dine-in and potentially takeout, although this is not explicitly stated. The mention of food being served at a table indicates a dine-in option. One review also implies potential issues with staffing, which could impact the speed and attentiveness of the service received. While one reviewer described the service as "decent but understaffed," another did not explicitly comment on the service quality beyond noting the cold food. Potential customers may want to consider this feedback, particularly during peak hours, if they choose to dine at Wing Wah Restaurant.

Several features of Wing Wah Restaurant can be identified from the customer reviews, although they present a somewhat inconsistent view. One reviewer initially had a positive experience with the soup, describing it as "great" and different from what they had before. This suggests that some dishes at Wing Wah Restaurant may offer unique flavors or preparations that some customers might appreciate. The reviewer also found the egg foo yung portion to be "pretty good," indicating that certain elements of their entrees could be satisfactory.

However, a significant feature highlighted in the negative reviews concerns the presentation and quality of some of the main dishes. The chicken egg foo yung was described as having the chicken "just laid out on top of the patty" and covered in a "gelatinous sauce," leading the reviewer to express surprise and disgust at its appearance. This raises concerns about the visual appeal and potentially the texture and taste of this particular dish. Similarly, another reviewer reported receiving their Mongolian beef "cold," suggesting potential issues with food temperature and timely service.

Other aspects of the meal received mixed feedback. One reviewer found the spring roll and rice to be "decent," indicating a neutral experience with these side items. In contrast, another reviewer likened the egg drop soup to "just chicken noodle soup," which they found illogical, and described the egg roll as a standard frozen variety. These comments suggest a lack of distinction or quality in some of the supporting dishes.

The fact that one reviewer was the only diner during a typical lunch hour raises a potential concern about the restaurant's popularity or consistency. This observation, coupled with the negative feedback regarding food presentation and temperature, might deter some potential customers. The overall sentiment from the provided reviews leans towards a negative experience, with concerns about food quality, presentation, and service.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Wing Wah Restaurant in the provided text. Local users interested in any potential specials or discounts would need to contact the restaurant directly at (801) 394-8788. It is always advisable to inquire about current promotions when making a reservation or placing an order.

In conclusion, based on the limited recent customer reviews available, Wing Wah Restaurant in Ogden, UT, presents a somewhat inconsistent dining experience. While some aspects, like a particular soup and the portion of the egg foo yung, received positive comments, significant concerns were raised regarding the presentation of the chicken egg foo yung, the temperature of the Mongolian beef, the quality of the egg drop soup and egg roll, and potential understaffing issues affecting service. The observation of low customer traffic during lunch hour might also be a point of consideration for potential diners. Local users may want to weigh these recent experiences when deciding whether to dine at Wing Wah Restaurant.

First time here, last time too. The meal started out well, the soup looked different than any I’d had before and it was great! Once they brought the chicken egg foo yung out I was surprised and also somewhat disgusted. The egg foo yung portion was actually pretty good, the chicken was just laid out on top of the patty, then it was all covered in the gelatinous sauce, I’m surprised any restaurant would proudly serve anything that looked like this, it was difficult to get past the looks of this dish. The spring roll was decent as was the rice, but again the entree was flabbergasting. I now know why I was the only dinner at 12:15 during what should have been a busy lunch hour.

Hit and a miss, big. I ordered the mongolian beef... It came to me cold. Literally as if it sat outside for a few minutes. The side dishes were all hot but the main was not. The egg drop soup was just chicken noodle soup... This didn't make sense to me. The egg roll was the standard egg roll found in frozen packs of 48 for 12$ at the asian supermarket. Service was decent but understaffed which was likely why I got my food cold. It's unlikely I'll be back.

We love the Big Wing Wah! There is a smaller one in South Ogden that doesn't quite live upto the Big Wing Wah standards of food or service... we don't drink... so that may contribute to things...

I stumbled on this place a while back and it’s becoming my favorite place. Today I was served by Ray and Sherry. Food was HOT and fresh, tasty, and just right. Service was attentive, kind, and very welcoming. Sherry and Ray should train other restaurants in customer service. They were superb. The restaurant was spotless. I’ll be back. Great job everyone.
