Wing Kee

It’s a little restaurant on Wilcrest just south of Bellaire. We ordered a combo of roasted pork 燒腩仔 and roasted duck 燒鴨 and it was delicious especially the crispy skin of the roasted pork (just love it)!! We also had the deep fried frog 酥炸田雞 that was great! And a veg dish of braised tofu 冬菇豆腐with black mushrooms! All good.

Came here for a family lunch and was plesantly pleased with the authentic cantonese dishes. They specialized in cantonese BBQ such roast duck, char siu, crispy skin pork belly, soy sauce chicken and more!

Cashier probably didn’t speak English but I was next in line and she knew it, but didn’t service me. Price is more than other places. I ordered the bbq pork, I was disappointed, yes the skin is crunchy and greasy, yes it was freshly cooked, BUT the actual meat was bland and had an after taste (only certain people can pick up on it, an intact male vs a non-intact male pig, go ask your parents from the motherland).

Guangdong roast duck has always been my favorite. I think their roast duck is one of the better ones in Houston. The meat is tender and juicy, and it tastes good with sour plum sauce. It is a place worth trying and a delicacy worth trying.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately they were out of duck and bbq when we got there but the waitress gave many other excellent alternatives. We loved every bite and can’t wait to return and try more! Very friendly and helpful staff :)
