When we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted. It was nice to see a woman scrubbing down the booths with a bucket, and it just smelled clean. Me and my husband both ordered lunch combinations. My husband didn't want the egg roll and asked to substitute for a can of soda, and she wanted to charge him an additional $1.45. Odd because both were similar in price. We stayed in to eat. As our food arrived, a worker sat at the booth next to us and had this bizarre internal hacking cough the entire time. Not pleasant to listen to while we were eating. My husband had the Boneless Spare Ribs and enjoyed them very much. I was disappointed to see the fried rice was literally just that, fried rice with onions. No roast pork, no egg, nothing else. I had the beef and broccoli. The beef tasted boiled with the sauce mixed over it. Tender, but not great. The broth from the Wonton Soup was rich and excellent. The wontons (there were 2) didn't have a typical Meatball, and were more like a smear of meat with a lot of Noodle. We weren't even given Crispy wonton strips for the soup. Everything seemed to be the bare minimum in product. Overall experience, we've had better and we've had worse.

First and last order. Locals rave about this place. I called & she put me on hold immediately. I ordered 2 lunch specials, sweet-and-sour chicken lunch special & general Taos chicken lunch special. She asked which soup? I asked do you have soda instead it’s 87° out today? She was annoyed and said no only soup. It was 18$ for lunch and it’s awful. It’s served with pork fried rice, but there’s no pork in the rice. Not even a tiny piece. The rice is filled with onion chunks and bean sprouts, definitely NOT good. The general Taos isn’t spicy at all, not a single hot pepper flake.

I've eaten at a lot of Chinese places and so far this is probably the best one! everything is delicious, staff is nice, I'm coming here from now on. So I first left this review 8 years ago, and I've since moved 9 hours away and travel a lot for work. I love chinese food so i usually get it for my lunches when im out and about. This place is STILL my favorite chinese food whenever I come visit, no where has had it beat yet! That's crazy, and the quality has always been the same every time I pop in. There's so much flavor whatever dish I get. I had to say something, I love this place and miss it so much. Please eat here

It’s mainly a takeout restaurant. They have very decent Chinese food for its price. You can get a good meal for around $12 and the flavor is on point. Nothing super fancy but you are getting a lot of value out of what you pay for. Their spicy braise beef house noodles soup is 200% authentic and delicious.
