About What The Phở

While What The Phở, located at 27524 Plymouth Rd, Livonia, MI 48150, USA (please note this is a US address; What The Phở may have other locations, including in Singapore), is categorized under a "Chinese Restaurant" platform, it primarily serves Vietnamese cuisine, specializing in Pho. This offers a different culinary experience that might appeal to local users in Singapore interested in exploring Vietnamese noodle dishes.

According to one positive review, the decor of What The Phở is described as "artistic and peaceful" with "calm piano music" playing in the background, suggesting a tranquil dining environment. The service was also noted to be prompt, with the server attending to customers quickly upon seating and the food arriving fast.

However, another review presents a contrasting perspective on the restaurant's environment and food quality. This reviewer described the setup as similar to a "typical Chinese joint in the burbs" with concerns about cleanliness, such as "sticky table top, dirty condiment bottles and pods." They also mentioned being given "tea cup plates for the spring rolls," which they found unusual.

Regarding the Pho itself, opinions varied. One customer found it "delicious" and "perfect on a chilly December evening." In contrast, the critical reviewer found the "pho broth was ok, no depth," although they noted the "five spice level was good" and the "noodles were good." However, they were dissatisfied with the "tiny briskets" which they described as "precooked, boiled, no meat flavor whatsoever" and unusually small, also mentioning the presence of "fat bits." Additionally, they found the "bean sprouts were old" and the overall experience to be "one of the worst Pho joints" they had visited.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for What The Phở from the provided reviews. For local users in Singapore interested in trying Pho, it is recommended to search for Vietnamese restaurants in your area that may be listed on this platform or other food discovery services. You can also contact What The Phở at phone number (734) 261-2609 or mobile phone +1 734-261-2609 for general inquiries, though they may not have a presence in Singapore.

In summary, What The Phở in the US offers Vietnamese Pho in what one reviewer described as an artistic and peaceful setting with prompt service. However, another review raised concerns about the environment and the quality of the Pho, particularly the broth and meat. Singaporean users interested in Vietnamese cuisine should consider these contrasting opinions when exploring local options.

We all had a different Pho. So delicious. Perfect on a chilly December evening. The decor is artistic and peaceful. Calm piano music plays in the background. The server came right out as soon as we sat down. The food also came out quickly. I’d come here again.

Chinese own Vietnamese Pho joint who loves to cut corners, big time. The set up is actually like a typical Chinese joint in the burbs, sticky table top, dirty condiment bottles and pods, gave us tea cup plates for the spring rolls, what? The pho broth was ok, no depth, five spice level was good. The noodles were good but the tiny briskets were precooked, boiled, no meat flavor whatsoever and they are the smallest I have ever seen. There are also these fat bits in there, what? The bean sprouts were old, basil was ok. Didn't eat it. Absolutely won't be back, actually one of the worst Pho joints that I have been in.

Feb 10 around 6pm. The server mentioned the hibachi wasn’t available (didn’t even know they had that option). Was seated right away but it took a long time before we were able to place our order. There was only one server and people kept coming. Figured this might be worth the wait. Waited almost half an hour for our food to arrive. What disappointed me was that the customer who came in a couple minutes after us got their order (crab rangoon) even though we placed it first. Wanted it as an appetizer but the noodles came in first. When I told the server why they got it before us she didn’t say anything. When I told her to cancel it since we got our order, she said they were making it already. She also messed up my friend’s order. Definitely will not come back.

Not from the area or state even but was in the mood for noodles and What the pho? popped up. I had soft shell crab and Pho Tom(shrimp). Amazing and I left filled and satisfied. The host was kool and welcoming as well as the atmosphere with tranquil music playing. 10/10

This food was really good!!!! I live about 35/40 minutes away and was craving Vietnamese food! The place by me is honestly awful, so I was skeptical. But it was great. I did have to run to an ATM because it was cash only, but aside from that, the food was great and the woman at the desk handing my order to me was very nice.
