About Wang Wang Super Taco

Wang Wang Super Taco is a restaurant located at 48 W Pleasant Ave, Maywood, NJ 07607, USA. They offer meal delivery and takeout services and can be contacted at phone number (201) 845-5808 or mobile phone +1 201-845-5808.

Categorized as a Chinese restaurant, Wang Wang Super Taco uniquely offers both Chinese and Mexican cuisine. This unusual combination is noted in customer reviews, with one suggesting caution when ordering from such a "odd place."

Feedback on the Chinese dishes is mixed. One customer found the General Tso's chicken with pork fried rice to have a sweet mango-like sauce and a spongy texture, with bland rice lacking ingredients. The cold noodles with sesame sauce were described as hot, dry plain lo mein noodles with peanut sauce and the same lettuce used in the burrito, considered an odd appetizer. The pork egg rolls were surprisingly not greasy and tasted "good enough." However, another customer who hadn't visited in a decade found the service super friendly and the Chinese food surprisingly fresh, reminiscent of "Americanized Chinese take out" from years ago. They enjoyed the General Tso's chicken and Chicken with Chinese vegetables, finding the lunch special prices reasonable.

The Mexican offering, specifically the chicken + steak burrito, received a very negative review, described as one of the worst burritos ever. It was not wrapped, the meat was dry and flavorless, mixed with a large amount of flavorless rice and black beans, a minimal amount of cheese, and scattered tomatoes. This was deemed a "sad, effortless meal." This customer also reported gastrointestinal distress after consuming a portion of the meal.

Based on these reviews, Wang Wang Super Taco presents a diverse menu of Chinese and Mexican food. Experiences with the Chinese dishes vary, with some finding them acceptable or even surprisingly good, while others found issues with taste and preparation. The Mexican burrito received a strongly negative review. Local users considering ordering from Wang Wang Super Taco should be aware of these differing opinions and the unusual combination of cuisines offered. One reviewer suggested that if one is desperate for Chinese food, there might be something palatable, but advised against ordering from their Mexican menu.

Always trust your instincts when thinking about ordering from an odd place like this. General Tso's with Pork Fried Rice - Tasted closer to a sweet mango sauce oddly enough. It wasn't terrible, just weird. Texture was spongey. The rice barely had anything mixed in and was very bland. Cold Noodles with Sesame Sauce - Hot, dry, plain lomein noodles with a Peanut Sauce mixed in, and used the same chopped lettuce as they did with the burrito. An odd appetizer. Pork Egg rolls were surprisingly not greasy and tasted good enough. Chicken + Steak Burrito - One of the worst "burritos" I've had in my life. It wasn't wrapped, the meat was dry and had zero flavor, mixed in with a pound of flavorless rice and black beans. A pinch of cheese was melted on top of the lettuce. A few squares of tomatoes were laying around too. This has to be one of the most sad, effortless meals prepared from any eatery. The night of / next day was not fun either. 5 trips to the throne! Only after eating about 1/3 of each item above. If you're desperate for Chinese, come here and there might be something you'll like. But don't even think about getting anything from their Mexican menu.

I hadn't been here in about a decade but I decided to give it a try. Service is super friendly and the food was surprisingly fresh. Keep in mind I purchased a couple of Chinese dishes and they reminded me of how Americanized Chinese take out was prepared years ago before many places decided to jazz it up and raise the prices dramatically. The General Tso's chicken and Chicken with Chinese vegetables hit the spot and the price tag for 2 lunch specials and a can of soda was just over $20. One thing I noticed was that the prices on the "Tex Mex" style food seemed a bit higher than what they were worth.

Steak taco was disappointing. I'd skip the tacos entirely, you'll enjoy the same quality at home but if you must I recommend the guacamole taco. The general tso was amazing. The rice, the sauce, the meat. Every bite was great. I'll definitely visit again, and even give the Mexican food another go. I like the fact that they have both.

DON'T DO IT. I should have kept walking. I stopped in for the texmex and it was horrible. The shrimp smelled old. The rice was nasty and the steak was hard and bland. I tried, I really tried but my stomach is in knots from the smell and the taste of the rice. 🤮

It's just a fast food restaurant. There's no air conditioner. So if you're really hungry, that's the place to go. Prices are not so bad.
