About Wan Lung Restaurant

Wan Lung Restaurant, situated at 12062 SE Sunnyside Rd in Clackamas, Oregon, falls under the platform category of Chinese Restaurants, offering a wide array of Chinese culinary delights to the local community. Based on the overwhelmingly positive customer reviews available, Wan Lung Restaurant appears to be a standout establishment known for its exceptional value, generous portions, delicious food, and outstanding service.

One highly enthusiastic reviewer detailed their experience with one of Wan Lung's combo dishes, priced at an impressive $16.75. This combo included vegetable lo-mein, BBQ fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, fried prawns (shrimp), egg drop soup, and hot tea. The customer was particularly impressed by the speed of service and the fact that all the food was served hot. A thoughtful detail they appreciated was the presentation of the sweet and sour chicken, where the sauce was placed as a base on a separate plate, preventing the chicken from becoming soggy – a common pitfall with this dish. The fried prawns were also noted for being substantial, with a good amount of shrimp rather than being predominantly batter. The portion size of the combo was so generous that the reviewer could only finish a portion of each item, resulting in ample leftovers that were reported to be just as good the next day, a sentiment often shared about Chinese cuisine. This review strongly emphasizes the excellent value and quantity of food offered at Wan Lung Restaurant.

Another reviewer went even further, proclaiming Wan Lung Restaurant as serving the "BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had." This is high praise indeed and suggests that the quality of the food surpasses many other Chinese dining experiences. Beyond the food itself, this customer also raved about the "amazing" service and the "out of this world" portion sizes, echoing the sentiment of the previous reviewer regarding the quantity of food. They described the food as "absolutely scrumptious," indicating a high level of deliciousness across the menu. This reviewer specifically mentioned the family combo, which included "amazing" and "so homemade!" hot and sour soup, along with "delicious" orange chicken. However, the standout dish for this customer was the Kung Pao chicken, which they described as being "beyond compare" and strongly recommended that others try it. The overall experience left this customer eager to return again and again, even with plenty of leftovers, highlighting the addictive quality of the food and the positive dining experience.

👍👍For $16.75, this is definitely the place to come for a value! I had one of their Combo dishes that had both the vegetable lo-mein and BBQ fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, fried prawns (shrimp), and soup [I had the egg drop] and hot tea. Everything was super quick and hot. I liked how they put the S/s sauce down as a base on a separate plate and set the chicken on top of that so it wasn't soggy. Even the fried prawns were pretty large, so it wasn't just all batter caked up to make it look larger...that was mostly shrimp! I was able to get thru the soup, shrimp, some FR/lo-mein, and a third of S/S chicken before I had to throw in the towel🤣 It was just as good the next day too, as most Chinese food is 😉

Hands down the BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had. The service is amazing, portion sizes are out of this world and the food is absolutely scrumptious. You will have plenty of leftovers but still want to come back again and again! I had the family combo with amazing hot and sour soup (so homemade!) and orange chicken (delicious); but the kung pao chicken is beyond compare. Do yourself a favor hand try it!

So glad we gave them a second chance. Their food is delicious, location is one of the cleanest amongst other small family-owned Chinese restaurants, and such friendly customer service! Once you walk-in, you have a clear and open view of the chefs cooking in the kitchen - and the food is served hot off the grill or wok! Doesn’t taste like pre-frozen food at all, their sauces were flavorful, at least from the standpoint of what we ordered. Our order: 1. BBQ fried rice - small bowl 2. Egg flower soup - large (very clean tasting) 3. General tso chicken - À la carte (crispy with their special sauce) 4. Sweet and sour shrimp - À la carte (large crispy shrimps, and breading ratio was great) Meal cost = $48 before tip Mind you…. The portions of their entrees are HUGE

Haven't been here in years, still amazing. Large portions and reasonable prices. Best Chinese food I've found on the east side.

Very good, generous portions, and very cheap. Nice to have soup, rice, and hot sweetened tea included in the lunch combo. The only thing I would change is the hot and sour soup: it needs more spice, but still very good. Best of all is the kitchen is open to the dining room, so one can see the cleanliness (many restaurants are sketchy in that area). Everything was freshly made, no microwaved leftovers here.
